Story
Mogwai is a year and a half old, and I have raised him since he was a baby. He is a deeply affectionate cat who communicates with loud purrs and adorable trills. If you put your hand out, he will push his head right into it. I am rehoming him because my financial situation has changed, and I can no longer afford the veterinary care and specific prescription food he requires for his urinary health. He is currently healthy, fixed, microchipped, and has perfect litter box habits. Ideal Home: Although he grew up with other cats, I believe Mogwai needs to be the only pet in the home to truly thrive and keep his stress levels low. He loves rolling around on the floor, sleeping in hammocks, and has enjoyed brief trips outside—he would be a great companion for someone who wants a loyal, vocal friend.

Story
Meet sweet ASTORIA, a long-haired solid black cat with a bit of a wonky right eye that makes it look like she’s squinting at you.  It just makes her stand out in her uniqueness.  Astoria is the perfect cat for someone looking for an easy-going companion, in a quiet home.  She hit a bit of a rough patch, and was surrendered to the rescue after her owner could no longer care for her and is need of a calm, loving home to call her own again.  She is independent and low maintenance.  She likes looking out the window and perching someplace high for a nap.  She also enjoys bumping up against people’s legs to get cuddles and pets.  She starts out timid but warms up fairly quickly.  She has a special eye that does get crusty occasionally and will need to be wiped, but she doesn’t let that slow her down.  Astoria is an exceptionally rewarding cat to get to know and love, and would be a wonderful addition to the right home! Astoria has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet Astoria in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $100 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1.  ID 1905-C0131R ASTORIA DOB 4/23/2019 (est) BEST AS AN ONLY CAT AFRAID OF DOGS QUIET HOME, WITH NO YOUNG KIDS ** HOME VISIT REQUIRED PRIOR TO APPROVAL **February 11, 2025, 6:08 pm

Story
It’s your friendly neighborhood PETER PAWKER! This cuddly kitty is a male tabby teenager kitten with a white chin and a soft, slightly fluffy coat of gray fur with black stripes. He enjoys playing with his brothers, VENOM and RIOT, and can be seen tossing a toy mouse around to himself. If you listen carefully, you’ll hear his meow, which is rarely above a squeak! Peter Pawker and his brothers were rescued from behind a trailer park when they were only a few weeks old and have since been lovingly cared for in their foster home. Peter isn’t fond of loud, sudden noises, and he may be shy at first to greet strangers, but with some interaction and play, he’ll come out to say hi and lean into any neck scratches you give him. He loves other cats and will try to become their best friend. Peter Pawker will need to be carefully monitored as he is very curious about the outdoors and may try to dash through the door or out the windows. Peter Pawker is a wonderful snuggle buddy who would love to find his forever home with one of his brothers. Peter Paw-ker has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partner .  You can meet PETER at the cattery inside our partner PetSmart in North Eugene (2847 Chad Dr, across from Costco) beginning Thursday 12/18.  Please submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store, and an adoption counselor will contact you to set up a meet and greet. The $175 (320 for a pair) adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Story
GOLDEN GIRL! Sakura is a beautiful young female with luxurious long white fur that is flecked with gold and golden eyes to match She is a happy and playful girl, with lots of energy. She was found as a stray outside of an apartment complex with one surviving kitten. She was a wonderful mama cat, adopting a second stray kitten, Suki, as her own, in addition to her birth kitten Mochi. Sakura is friendly and personable, purrs easily, and loves belly rubs. She also loves bells, crinkle toys, scratching post – and her favorite humans. Sakura likes to look outside and is curious, so use caution around open doors and windows. Ideally, Sakura would be in a home with another young cat for stimulation and companionship. Her adopted kitten, Suki, is also available and the two make a lovely mother-daughter duo, if you have room in your heart for two. SAKURA has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is negative for FeLV and FIV. Her adoption fee includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. Feisty is just not getting along with the other cat who is much more dominant. She probably would do better in a home with no other pets.

Story
I`m available for adoption! You can read about my condition and needs below. I have ringworm (feline dermatophytosis), a very common, treatable skin infection. Despite the name, it is a fungal infection having nothing to do with worms. I might have an itchy rash on my skin that will look like a circle on the infected area. I am undergoing treatment at the shelter but hoping to find my forever family now to continue healing in my new home! I think my recovery would be a lot quicker and more comfortable in a home. My adoption price is discounted and you will receive supplies and resources needed to get started. Learn more about ringworm and treatment at https://www.green-hill.org/ringworm-in-cats-treatment/Kittens need more attention and socialization during their first 6 months of life and adopters should plan to provide this type of care. We recommend adopting 2 kittens at a time to help with socialization! My adoption fee includes being spayed/neutered, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more! Give us a call if you`d like to talk with a staff member more about adopting a kitten with ringworm!
