Story
Meet sweet ASTORIA, a long-haired solid black cat with a bit of a wonky right eye that makes it look like she’s squinting at you.  It just makes her stand out in her uniqueness.  Astoria is the perfect cat for someone looking for an easy-going companion, in a quiet home.  She hit a bit of a rough patch, and was surrendered to the rescue after her owner could no longer care for her and is need of a calm, loving home to call her own again.  She is independent and low maintenance.  She likes looking out the window and perching someplace high for a nap.  She also enjoys bumping up against people’s legs to get cuddles and pets.  She starts out timid but warms up fairly quickly.  She has a special eye that does get crusty occasionally and will need to be wiped, but she doesn’t let that slow her down.  Astoria is an exceptionally rewarding cat to get to know and love, and would be a wonderful addition to the right home! Astoria has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet Astoria in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $100 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1.  ID 1905-C0131R ASTORIA DOB 4/23/2019 (est) BEST AS AN ONLY CAT AFRAID OF DOGS QUIET HOME, WITH NO YOUNG KIDS ** HOME VISIT REQUIRED PRIOR TO APPROVAL **February 11, 2025, 6:08 pm

Story
Say hello to VENOM! Venom is a male teenager kitten with black, mid-length fur and a round face. (He is on the RIGHT in both group pictures) Venom is a very laid-back kitty. He loves his afternoon naps and for his dinner to be on time. Venom and his brothers RIOT and PETER PAW-KER were rescued from behind a trailer park when they were only a few weeks old and have since been lovingly cared for in their foster home. Venom isn’t fond of loud, sudden noises, and he may not be the best guest greeter, but he will come out to play with some encouragement. He enjoys playing with strings, balls, or toy mice and, if you’re patient, he’d love to play with you! Venom will need to be carefully monitored as he is very curious about the outdoors and may try to dash through the door or out the windows. He is a well-behaved little guy who is happy to have a warm spot in the sun and a full bowl at suppertime. When he opens up, he is the cuddliest little guy you've ever met! Venom would love to find his forever home with one of his brothers. VENOM has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet VENOM in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $175 (320 for a pair) adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Story
It’s your friendly neighborhood PETER PAW-KER! Cuddly Peter Paw-ker is a male tabby teenager kitten with a white chin and a soft, slightly fluffy coat of gray fur with black stripes. He enjoys playing with his brothers, VENOM and RIOT, and can be seen tossing a toy mouse around to himself. If you listen carefully, you’ll hear Peter Paw-ker’s meow, which is rarely above a squeak! Peter Paw-ker and his brothers were rescued from behind a trailer park when they were only a few weeks old and have since been lovingly cared for in their foster home. Peter Paw-ker isn’t fond of loud, sudden noises, and he may be shy at first to greet strangers, but with some interaction and play, he’ll come out to say hi and lean into any neck scratches you give him. He loves other cats and will try to become their best friend. Peter Paw-ker will need to be carefully monitored as he is very curious about the outdoors and may try to dash through the door or out the windows. Peter Paw-ker is a wonderful snuggle buddy who would love to find his forever home with one of his brothers. Peter Paw-ker has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet Peter in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart. Story
It’s a RIOT (a fabulous one)! Riot is a slightly fluffy black male teenager kitten with some brown spots on his face (to distinguish him from his brother Venom).  He's on the LEFT in the group picture. Riot is a chatty kitty who loves any toy he can get his paws on. One of his favorite games is "keep-away", where he delights in keeping a toy away from you while you chase him! He will often growl or yowl while playing, but he is just a vocal fellow who means no harm. Riot and his brothers VENOM and PETER PAW-KER were rescued from behind a trailer park when they were only a few weeks old and have since been lovingly cared for in their foster home. Riot is initially cautious of strangers, but once he warms up, he’s cuddly and playful! He enjoys lounging in the sun, playing with his brothers, and snuggling and being held – on his own time. Riot will need to be carefully monitored as he is very curious about the outdoors and may try to dash through the door or out the windows. Riot would be a great and spunky addition to any home! He would love to find his forever home with one of his brothers. RIOT has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet RIOT in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart. Story
Meet FERRIS and CAMERON, a sweet-natured and adorable pair of teenager brothers. FERRIS is an orange and white tabby with as much personality as his namesake, Ferris Bueller, while CAMERON is a cute gray tabby. These two are “people” kitties – they love human contact. Confident, spunky and affectionate, they will play until they’re exhausted – and then make a beeline for the nearest available lap for some R & R!  They purr easily and often, and warm up immediately to new people and new situations. They were born to a stray mama cat and fostered from birth, so they are well-adjusted and confident. Ferris must be adopted with his brother Cameron, and they are sure to bring lots of love and laughter to their new forever home. They has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and are negative for FeLV and FIV. Their adoption fee includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet FERRIS & CAMERON in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at Petsmart.  A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet.  The $320 adoption fee for the pair) allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Story
I`m available for adoption! You can read about my condition and needs below. I have ringworm (feline dermatophytosis), a very common, treatable skin infection. Despite the name, it is a fungal infection having nothing to do with worms. I might have an itchy rash on my skin that will look like a circle on the infected area. I am undergoing treatment at the shelter but hoping to find my forever family now to continue healing in my new home! I think my recovery would be a lot quicker and more comfortable in a home. My adoption price is discounted and you will receive supplies and resources needed to get started. Learn more about ringworm and treatment at https://www.green-hill.org/ringworm-in-cats-treatment/Kittens need more attention and socialization during their first 6 months of life and adopters should plan to provide this type of care. We recommend adopting 2 kittens at a time to help with socialization! My adoption fee includes being spayed/neutered, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more! Give us a call if you`d like to talk with a staff member more about adopting a kitten with ringworm!
