Story
SHAKIRA is a gorgeous Siamese/tabby mix with beautiful blue eyes. If it were up to her, Shakira would be held 23 hours a day, 7 days a week (one hour reserved for politely eating her food). Most toys don't interest her, unless it's her scratching mat or a mouse on a string to hunt. Either of those pale in comparison to her love of her cat bed. Shakira came to the rescue after her previous owner passed. She is shy at first with strangers -- but once she knows you, she warms up quickly. She loves being indoors, and is unlikely to escape outside (there have been no mad dashes to find out what's out there). If you are a homebody in search of a cuddle buddy, Shakira is waiting to be held!  SHAKIRA has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. She is in good health other than some mild asthma, which is well under control with an air purifier (which will come with her). To meet SHAKIRA in foster, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 days for a possible meet and greet. The $70 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. Story
Hi!  My name is FANTASIA, and I am a cute young female kitty with luxurious long-haired fur. They call me a “cow” kitty because my coat is white with black patches, kind of like a cow’s. My favorite black patch is my adorable half mustache that gives me my sense of style. I am a lap cat; yessiree, I love snuggles all day long! Can you rub my belly while I knead biscuits? It’ll make me feel so special. I’m a little shy, but the way to my heart is through playtime. I love destroying those fuzzy worms that dangle from a stick, and pipe cleaners are my go-to bat around toy. My brother, TARZAN, and I adore each other, so I must be adopted along with him. We were found in blackberry bushes, on the side of a busy road. We’re both also good friends with MOCHA ,if you’re possibly looking for three wonderful felines. We’ve never met dogs or tiny humans, but we’d probably be okay with kids who are cat savvy. TARZAN and I have both tested positive for FIV (the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but we are healthy kitties and will likely have a normal lifespan as indoor-only cats. The virus can't be passed to dogs or to people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound.  FANTASIA and TARZAN are absolute love bugs, each with their own fun personality, who will bring much joy into your heart and home.  Fantasia and Tarzan have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, are negative for FeLV, and each include a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet Fantasia and Tarzan in foster, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy at either Eugene PetSmart location. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 days for a possible meet and greet. The adoption fee for the pair is $110, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Story
POSIE is a fluffy, beautiful girl who is black and white in a cow-kitty pattern. She is a senior lady about 11 years old and only has one eye. She was adopted in 2012 as a kitten by a CRAN volunteer, who now can no longer care for her.  Posie is a couch potato who will snuggle you when you’re in bed and isn’t shy at all about asking for food. She can be a vocal kitty who will seek your attention if you are ignoring her.  It took only 12 hours for Posie to walk around her new foster’s house and then only 24 hours to sleep on her foster's bed. She took a few days to learn her new human's routine, then settled in quickly. She can be coaxed out of a hiding spot by saying her name or saying hello to her. She does not appreciate loud noises, such as the vacuum cleaner. Posie is also cautious of new people in her environment. She seems most comfortable inside and does not have any interest in going outside. Posie is a loving and gentle cat. She will quickly bond with you if you give her the attention she desires. She's the perfect kitty for a homebody who is looking for a companion to keep them company. POSIE has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet Posie in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 days for a possible meet and greet. Story
BUBBLY BUBBLES is super cute black and white tuxedo female teenager kitten with yellow eyes and a white spot on her chin. She is warmly called Bubbles and Bubbs by her foster family. Bubbles has a fluffy coat with an exceptionally smooth texture. She is a boisterous young lady, full of bright playfulness and kitten exuberance. She has the curious nature of a feline and will follow you around the house eager to accompany you during your daily routine. Bubbs dearly loves her kitty climbing tree, stuffed animals and play toys. A string on a stick is virtually kryptonite. When it’s time to settle in, Bubbles readily returns to snuggle mode, preferring to spend time in your lap or next to you on the couch. She has advanced language skills and likes to communicate -- but she kindly spares you from the midnight meow meows. Although not immune from the "zoomies", that kitten phase has largely passed. Bubbles was abandoned by her feral mother at just two days of age. After eight months of foster love and care, Bubbly Bubbles is ready for her forever home. She is slowly exploring the world and learning where she fits in. Very little frightens her, but her reaction to something big such as a dog remains to be seen. Bubbs needs to find a forever home with a loving parent who wants to interact with their new feline partner as if she is part of the family. She is quite social and will need a parent who is around alot to give her attention and stimulation. She is a true delight and would make a lovely addition to a happy home.  NOTE:  Bubbles currently has access to a small fenced backyard, but she never goes more than a short distance, and she always uses the indoor litterbox.  She might be happiest with a catio or a fenced yard, although she rarely begs to go out, and with lots of love and attention, it is likely that she could be easily converted to an indoor-only kitty.  Bubbly Bubbles has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet Bubbly Bubbles in foster, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 days for a possible meet and greet. The $145 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Story
GALINA is a fluffy young black and white tuxedo female kitty with adorable white smile lines. She is a lover! She adores giving head bumps, snuggles and spooning with her loved ones. She is enthusiastic about all toys but particularly the feather wand. She is timid and shy with other cats but she has learned to get along with the other sweet and chill cats in her foster home. Galina very quickly warmed up to her foster mom. She really loves affection and wants to be close to the person she loves. She is a shy and timid lady, so loud noises and overly assertive pets make her nervous. She would thrive in a quiet home with no other pets or children or with another very sweet and chill cat. Galina holds a very special place in in her foster's heart. She is a sweet, playful and loving girl. She needs a home where she can get all the cuddles she deserves. She is very vocal and has a lot to say. She is a very special kitty that will fill your heart and home with love. GALINA has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. Story
Omen is the best of boys and has all the aspects of a cat you could imagine. I got him at the beginning of November and he has been a joy every single day. He loves to play as much as you are willing to. He loved to eat all of the food given and not given. He will cuddle you better than most cat's I have ever met. He is really good with dogs as long as they are introduced properly and will even play with them. He gets along with 3 dogs right now. He came from a shelter with other cats so I am sure he can be fine meeting and loving other cat friends but I have no experience first hand with it. He loves to go outside and exploring and has a huge opportunity to go on hikes and camping just needs more training on it. He is so friendly to every single person that has stepped foot into our home. I took him on two hikes and the first one he was able to walk down all the way with ease but the second he was a little scared so I believe he just needs more training and fun with it. He is loved.
