Story
Meet sweet ASTORIA, a long-haired solid black cat with a bit of a wonky right eye that makes it look like she’s squinting at you.  It just makes her stand out in her uniqueness.  Astoria is the perfect cat for someone looking for an easy-going companion, in a quiet home.  She hit a bit of a rough patch, and was surrendered to the rescue after her owner could no longer care for her and is need of a calm, loving home to call her own again.  She is independent and low maintenance.  She likes looking out the window and perching someplace high for a nap.  She also enjoys bumping up against people’s legs to get cuddles and pets.  She starts out timid but warms up fairly quickly.  She has a special eye that does get crusty occasionally and will need to be wiped, but she doesn’t let that slow her down.  Astoria is an exceptionally rewarding cat to get to know and love, and would be a wonderful addition to the right home! Astoria has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet Astoria in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $100 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1.  ID 1905-C0131R ASTORIA DOB 4/23/2019 (est) BEST AS AN ONLY CAT AFRAID OF DOGS QUIET HOME, WITH NO YOUNG KIDS ** HOME VISIT REQUIRED PRIOR TO APPROVAL **February 11, 2025, 6:08 pm

Meet CELAENA and FENRIS, a bonded pair of siblings looking for their perfect home! Celaena is a silvery gray, medium- to- long-haired female with a fluffy mane and long silver ear tuffs. Fenris is a black, short haired male with a faint, lighter spot on his chest, bright green eyes, and a very long tail. Celaena and Fenris are both confident and brave, with gentle and sweet dispositions. Celaena is a very regal little princess. She loves to be held while walking around and purrs loudly. Celaena meows as she carries around her catnip filled mouse, and she prefers cardboard scratchers and sisal posts. Fenris enjoys belly rubs; he lies down and stretches out for his morning belly rub or greeting when you return home. He will gently wake you up with a soft mew or “mrrrrp” sound and a gently boop on the nose. Fenris is very gentle and never has claws out even when he is playing. Both Celaena and Fenris enjoy playing with the laser pointer and thoroughly enjoy their several cat towers and window beds from which they can cuddle while birdwatching. Because she is so purrty, Celaena’s long hair requires regular maintenance to avoid any accidents, matted hair, and messes. Both kitties have had regular nail trims, brushing, grooming with quiet clippers, and dental brushing since kittens. Celaena and Fenris prefer a quieter home, and they will hide when new people or loud children are present. Both have been handled since birth and have been socialized around other cats and dogs. This precious duo will be the perfect addition to anyone’s home! CELAENA and FENRIS have been altered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet FENRIS and CELAENA please fill out an Adoption Application for consideration at catrescues.org/adopt, and an adoption counselor will contact you for a possible meet-and-greet. The $280 (for both) adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Story
** SPECIAL NEEDS CAT ** JUNIPER is a petite black and white cat with silky black fur, bright white socks, and a white blaze on her nose. Sweet-natured, curious, loving, and playful, Juniper is an adorable young cat who is enjoying a second chance at kittenhood. Juniper is blind, deaf, and has had most of her teeth removed. Despite these challenges, she is a resilient and happy spirit. She is unbelievably gentle, always using soft paws on her people. Quite vocal, Juniper often chirps and trills to communicate. As would be expected with her sensory challenges, Juniper is particular about her bedding, toys, food and how she’s handled. She is reliable with her litterbox. Her loving foster home has had good luck with guiding her as she has learned to navigate her space. She is cautious about new experiences, and easily startled. Once she reacts appropriately with a warning hiss or quick swat, she settles quickly and regains her equilibrium. Affectionate and loving, she actively seeks out pets and is growing more accustomed to being held. She likes to sleep near her person and among familiar smells. Juniper was found abandoned and alone in a ditch. Fortunately, she was rescued and came to CRAN. Because of her vulnerabilities, she will require a special person to give her a safe space and accommodate her lifelong needs. She will always need a soft food diet, reliable routines, patience and protection. In turn, she will offer lifelong affection and companionship. She’s ready for a new chance at life in a loving, permanent home. Juniper has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is negative for FeLV and FIV. Her adoption fee includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet Juniper in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart.
