Story
Here's the beauty queen, Tie Dye! Tie Dye and her siblings were posted on Facebook with a plea for help for a group of very sick kittens living outside within a large colony living next to a busy road. When we saw the picture of Tie Dye, we knew we had to help, even though we had absolutely no space! When we went to go check out the situation, we found many feral kittens laying in various shady spots throughout the yard, trying to hide from the hot summer sun. These feral kittens were so sick, lethargic, and weak that we knew we had to take them right then and there and were able to grab them by hand (which should indicate how sick they were since feral kittens are very fast and won't allow people to handle them). We knew immediately that all 5 kittens we grabbed were close to death.. the kittens were emaciated, dehydrated, noses crusted over, and eyes sealed shut with sickness. Unfortunately, 2 others passed away the next day before we could grab them, and one had to be euthanized in our care because she had an injury so severe that it couldn't be repaired. In the following weeks, we were able to grab 4 more kittens who appeared and get them to safety also! Tie Dye was the first one of the bunch to come out of her shell. While she was clearly one of the sickest, she didn't let that hold her back! Tie Dye has become the sweetest, most loving little lady who is one of the first ones to greet her foster mom when she comes into the room. She loves snuggling in her foster moms lap, making muffins, purring, playing with toys, bird watching from the cat tree, and exploring. She has a super soft medium haired coat that she enjoys having brushed. This girl is an absolute sweetheart. She's easy to handle and pick up, loves getting attention, and is just a gem of cat. Tie Dye is very active, so she will need to be adopted with a sibling or to a house with another young, active cat! Tie Dye would do great in a home with children, as she's easy to handle and so lovable. We also believe that Tie Dye would do great in a home with dogs after proper intros. Tie Dye is about 7 months old, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, FIV/FELV tested negative, dewormed, and flea treated. She has been fully cleared of her URI and Conjunctivitis. If this beauty queen seems to be your match, apply for Tie Dye today!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Burt Macklin, FBI. The best damn agent they had, until he was framed for a crime he did or didn't commit..... fathering 7 kittens with his female counterpart, Janet Snakehole. Burt and Janet were both abandoned outside once each of their families moved away. They found each other out in the world and the rest is history (sort of). We were alerted to these two sweethearts when they began following and begging one of our colony feeders for food while she was on a new route during her morning walk. From there, the feeder found 7 little black blobs living on a porch, trying to survive with their mom, Janet, and their maybe/maybe not dad, Burt. From there, we scooped this family up and took them to safety! Both Janet and Burt were great parents, snuggling and cleaning the babies at all times. Now that they're grown and off to another foster home, it's time for these 2 to hang up their parenting hats and live a life of ease together! There's no splitting this duo up! Burt is a fluffy, soft orange tabby who is an absolute sweetheart. He loves to make muffins, have cat naps all around the house (including in your lap), snuggles, playing with any fun toys, and eating wet food! This boy is easy to handle and pick up and would be good with older kids and most likely be ok with dogs given proper intros. Janet is a sleek, short black haired beauty. She can be a little more shy than Burt, but warms up quickly! She has a loud purr and makes just as good of muffins as Burt. These two love to play and wrestle and Janet also loves just about any toys, including wand toys! Janet is easy to pick up and loves pets. She really enjoys being in a cat tree sunbathing. Sometimes Janet can get a little over stimulated and love bites during play time, but means no harm! We think Janet would be good with older kids and dogs as well, with proper intros. Both Burt and Janet have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, FIV/FELV tested negative, dewormed, and flea treated. If this dynamic duo seems like the perfect pair to have some silly antics with, apply for them today!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This beautiful and sensitive soul is Spicy. When he was a young, sad boy, his father took him into the city, to see a marching band... but some cat lady abducted him and turned him into a house cat instead. When Spicy first came to Trash Cat Rescue he was only a few months old, and he was well... Spicy. He told us over and over again that it "wasn't a phase"... But over time he became sweeter and sweeter. He has actually grown into the perfect little love bug of a catten. He's quite shy around new people, but after you break through his thin layer of a wall, he's soft and squishy. Once you gain Spicy's trust he will follow you around the house like a shadow, flop over for belly pets, and cuddle with you all night. He loves to play with other cats and has an extremely calm demeanor about him. Spicy will need a patient adopter who can start him off in one small room and let him come out of his shell, but once he's comfortable, he will give you a tremendous amount of love. He'd do best with a confident kitty friend in his new home, with proper introductions. Small or very loud children are likely to be too much for Spicy, but older, cat-savvy kiddos may be OK. Spicy is about six months old. He has been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Are you ready to see Spicy's sweet side? Please apply today!
