Story
My family recently found this cat a couple of weeks ago and was very malnourished and in very bad shape. We have worked hard to nurse him back to decent health but he is in desperate need of a loving and forever home. He is a very sweet and gentle cat and loves attention once he gets to know you. He can also be very shy at times and get scared easily as it seems he might have been abused at some point. He looks to be around a year old and we named him Smokey because if his gray and white pattern. My biggest fear is for him to go somewhere where he could starve, be abused/or mistreated, or be killed so my only ask and hope is that someone will take him and love him fully and take care of him as if he were a child. He deserves a loving home and I hope someone can help.

Story
Princess is a very sweet cat. She was a stray and I earned her trust so she became a part of my family 2 years ago. She appeared to be 6-12 months old at that time. She loves attention and pets. She likes to sit on my lap and have scratches and brushing. Her meow is not very loud. She likes treats. She is an indoor cat only. She communicates well. She gets along with my roommates cat. She is an easy cat to love. She likes to play with treats. I toss one at a time and she gets it. It is a game to her. Did I mention she loves attention/lovin. She likes playtime with cat toys on a fishing pole. She is devoted. She likes to watch YouYube cat interest videos (cat games or squirrels/ birds). Although she is an indoor cat, she loves to sit and view the outdoors. She has not been around kids. I am a senior and she is an adult cat of approx. 3-4 years. We get along fabulously! I am looking for a forever home for her where she will be a member of the family!

Story
Cali is a loving cat. She is a little skidish at first just because someone is new but once she gets to know you she is the most loving and cuddling cat there is. In the picture above she is the darker colored cat. 🐈‍⬛

Story
Baby kitty is a few weeks old. It came from a family of cats that live in our woods. One day she was crying in my flower bed and we never saw the rest of the family again. She’s been coming in and out of our house, she uses the litter box and isn’t picky about food. I’m rehoming her only because my large dog can’t get over her and had tried to eat her. It’s becoming an issue keeping them separated. She needs a new home for her safety. No adoption fee.

Story
Hi, I'm Elsa and I'm a sweet girl! To meet one of our adoptable pets or to start the adoption process, please access the adoption application on our website, www.crossroadsanimalrescue.org or download and email it to crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com. We will then approve you (sending in the application does not obligate you to adopt) and we can set up a time for you to meet one or more of our pets. You can then pay the adoption fee and officially adopt after meeting your new family member. Alternatively, you can do the adoption over the phone before meeting your new pet. The benefit to this is that we will hold the pet for you. However, the adoption fee is non-refundable if you changed your mind after adopting over the phone. Most of our pets are obtained from animal control and therefore we are not certain of their breed or breed mix. We list breed mixes that they most resemble or that their former owners said they were. However, we don't make any guarantees about breed - it is a best guess! Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing or feline leukemia testing. We are happy to adopt out-of-state (and even out of the country!) but transportation for the adopted pet is the responsibility of the new pet owner. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, please click on the "Sponsor a Pet" button. Your donation will help feed the dogs, cats, small animals, and horses at CARE. Please email at crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com or call us at (864)972-9906 for more information. This phone number will reach Crossroads Animal Hospital, which is the home of CARE. During business hours, a receptionist will be able to speak with you regarding our adoptable pets. After business hours, the only way to contact CARE is via email. Our puppies and kittens are also eligible for 10% off the rest of the vaccines in their puppy/kitten vaccination series at Crossroads Animal Hospital. Most adult pets are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Puppies and kittens may have the surgery before adoption or we may have new owners return later for the surgery. For more information about CARE and to see our adoption application, go to our website, www.crossroadsanimalrescue.org
