This adorable long-haired orange tabby is about 2–3 years old and full of personality, charm, and affection. With his signature little nubby tail (yes, it wags when he’s happy), he’s the kind of cat who will follow you from room to room, “help” with chores, and always be right where the action, and love is. Nubbins is a total people-cat. He lives for attention, rolling around at your feet and reaching out for more pets like he just can’t get enough. He’s incredibly social and does great with other cats, too, making him a wonderful companion in a multi-cat home. Whether he’s perched up high watching the world or trotting behind you like your tiny orange shadow, he brings so much warmth and joy wherever he goes. He came to us with a previous foot injury, but he’s done beautifully in foster care and is now comfortable and thriving—he just prefers not to overdo it with high-speed zoomies. Nubbins is also FIV+, which simply means he’ll need to be an indoor-only kitty and have a home that understands how manageable and non-scary that diagnosis truly is. With a proper slow introduction. He also can safely live with non-positive kitties 🐱 What matters most is that he’s happy, healthy, and ready for his forever. Nubbins has been through his share of challenges, but you’d never know it by the way he loves. He’s resilient, affectionate, and just a little bit goofy in the best way. I was adopted & had a family for a couple years but then they had human kids and decided to give me back to CAWS. My foster mom tells me all the time that I'm an adorable girl, so I'm sure you'll think so too. I have medium length hair that is really soft & makes me look fluffy. I love other cats & one of the best things in the world is to be in a cuddle pile with them for a nap! I will need another cat to curl up with up in my new home because, to be honest, I may like other cats better than people. Hi there… my name is Baked Potato. I know it’s a funny name, but honestly it fits me pretty well. I’m soft, warm, comforting, and once you get to know me, I’m the kind of little soul that just makes you feel better. I’m about 9 years old, a handsome Turkish Van mix, and I’ve been through a bit of a rough patch in life before finding my way to safety. When I first arrived at the DCAS, I wasn’t feeling very good at all. They helped me get through being pretty sick but I needed more medical help than they could give me there, so the kind people at Whiskers brought me into their program. Since then, I’ve had a full mouth extraction to get rid of my painful teeth, a polyp removed from my ear, cytology and senior bloodwork. I have a little scar on my eye from an old injury. It might make me look a little different, but I promise it doesn’t stop me from loving life now that I finally feel better. The truth is, I’m just really grateful to be safe. I love gentle pets, soft places to rest, and people who talk to me sweetly. I’ve discovered that being loved is actually pretty wonderful, and I’m hoping my human is out there waiting to spoil me the way every good comfort food deserves. If you’re looking for a cozy little companion who will bring warmth, sweetness, and a lot of heart into your life… I think we might be perfect for each other. 🖤🤍🐾
