Cali came in as a feral older kitten (approx. 6-7 mos) after a lot of tinder loving care from Staff members Miranda, Ethan and Carol, she has turned the corner and warming up to everyone. She is approx. 6-7 mos. and will need a home that will continue to nurture her and help her to be more outgoing. She will need to be an indoor kitty only. At this time small children are not recommended. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. While Smoke probably will not run up to greet you when you walk into the room where she lives, she’s happy for you to come up to her. She’ll sniff your fingers to see who you are, then roll onto her back and show you her belly. If you pet her ears and head, she’ll purr, then lick your fingers to express her appreciation. And she absolutely loves sitting in laps!Given the trauma she has suffered, it’s amazing how loving she is. She and her two littermates, Ash and Soot, survived a house fire. Then they were loose on the property for a week before being brought to the shelter. Smoke’s ears were burned by the intense heat but have healed well. Sadly, when the vet examined her, he discovered that Smoke had a heart murmur. Prissy has the silkiest hair, she’s such a pretty girl. Her pregnant mother was abandoned and found her way to my barn. We thought the kittens might be feral, they are not. I didn’t want to turn them loose as they were just babies so as things have turned out they have been in a protected environment and have become very friendly. Prissy would thrive in a quieter home. Prissy up to date on her vaccines and is microchipped. She is FELV and FIV negative and spayed. Her adoption fee is $100. This cat is great Inwould rather not give her up but I am bwing relocated and I have no one to carw for her .She likes to go on walks ,is very loving , and doesnt require alot of need attention only qhen she wants it .
