Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.CVRR is listing this cat as a COURTESY to the actual owner. This cat is not currently in the care of CVRR, and CVRR makes no representations or guarantees for its behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. The owner will make sure all vaccines are updated and health evaluation will be done prior to adoption. All information listed has been given by the cat's current owner and should be verified by any interested potential adopter. Courtesy Post: Buster   Buster is a 10-year-old neutered male with a beautiful long coat and a gentle, independent spirit. His world recently changed when his beloved owner entered long-term care and can no longer provide the love and daily companionship he deserves. This is not a choice anyone wanted to make — it’s simply a matter of health and circumstance. Buster is not a “pick-me-up-and-carry-me” kind of cat, but he shows his affection in quiet, meaningful ways. He loves being brushed. He’ll rub against your legs to say hello. He sleeps at the foot of the bed. He enjoys little balls and toys and still has playful moments that will make you smile. He takes time to warm up to new people. At first, he may hide until he feels safe — but once he knows you, he settles in. He will let you know (in true cat fashion) when he’s had enough attention, and he prefers not to be picked up or have his belly rubbed. Because of this, he would do best in a quiet home without young children. Buster has spent much of his life as an indoor/outdoor cat during the day and inside at night, but for the past year he has been indoors only and seems content that way. He isn’t flashy. He isn’t demanding. He’s a steady companion who simply needs someone patient and kind to give him a soft place to land for his senior years. This is a courtesy post. Updated health records will be provided. If you have room in your heart and home for a cat who just needs stability and understanding, Buster is waiting. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Honey Bunches of Oats is a shy girl who would love to find a quiet home to blossom in! Her adoption fee is $75. Many cats do so much better in pairs, especially kittens, which is why we offer a reduced adoption fee of $25 for the second cat (or more!). Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it. July 22, 2026, 2:52 pm
