Story
Hi, my name is Mila (you may also call me Queen Mila, as you will find I am truly a beautiful queen). I’m a gorgeous 5 year old medium haired tuxedo girl, with a just right combo of sugar and spice, looking for my forever castle! My life has had LOTS of twists and turns…. I was rescued and adopted as a kitten, and then surrendered when my first family moved away ☹ I was adopted again, and all was well until I started having some issues with the resident toddler. I like my boundaries, and I wasn’t having a good time. As you can imagine I was very overwhelmed, scared and confused when I was surrendered again. Having your heart broken twice in 5 years…..well, I do not recommend it. It took me some time to settle back in at the rescue, but once I did, everyone discovered that I am a very affectionate, and charmingly goofy, little girl! I am very chatty, and I will let you know when I need some attention, as well as when I’ve had enough and need some “me time.” I am very particular about certain things and vocal about my boundaries. I do not like being touched on my lower back. I’m not really a fan of other cats; my helpers think the best thing is for me to be a solo kitty. I definitely need a house with no children, a quiet environment, and adopters who are very patient, and understand that I will need time to adjust to new surroundings. I have food sensitivities, and so I am on a prescription hydrolized protein diet as recommended by my vet. I really enjoy eating and will quickly let you know when my bowl is empty! I also really like fresh water—especially if it’s in a big bowl that I can splash my paws around in first before I settle down to drink. I love me some water play! Other favorites are cat tunnels for playing, and feather wands. I like to sleep in high up spaces, so I think I’d enjoy a nice cat tree for my beauty sleep. They say the third time’s the charm, and I need my third home to finally be my forever! I have so much love to give (and so much entertainment to provide!) to my new family.

Story
From Street Smart to Sweetheart Whisp: A Story of Transformation! This gorgeous 2-year-old spayed female, with her luxurious long hair, has come a long way from her street days. As a TNR'd teenager, she learned to be resourceful, but her true calling was always comfort and love. After discovering the joy of pets and a full belly at her foster mom's house, Whisp made the leap indoors and hasn't looked back! Now, Whisp is a happy, healthy girl, thanks to updated vet care and successful dental work that's left her pain-free. She embraces her indoor life, enjoying safe window-watching, spreading out for naps, and especially cuddling up to her foster mom for pets and brushes. She's not a fan of being held, but she'll happily lean in for all the attention you can offer. Whisp is also a playful spirit, chasing wands and lasers with enthusiasm, and she loves her tasty treats (Temptations are a favorite!) and food (Purina One dry and Fancy Feast gravy). Whisp dreams of a peaceful home, ideally as an only cat or with one laid-back feline companion. She's looking for an adult-only or with older teen household without dogs. Please see our rescue information for our adoption fees or email us at billythekiddenrescue@gmail.com. ‼️Help control the pet population - have your pets spayed or neutered! 💯

Story
Meet Flint & Ivan 🐾💙 1 year old | Bonded Brothers | Must Be Adopted Together Flint and Ivan are resilient, sweet brothers who have overcome an incredible medical journey and are now ready to find their forever home — together. They came into foster care at about 7 weeks old as spicy little kittens who needed time to learn that people are safe. With patience and love, they have blossomed into gentle, affectionate boys who enjoy a calm indoor life. Both boys successfully completed treatment for FIP and have been cured after the full treatment and observation period. They are now healthy, happy, and ready for the next chapter. Personality: Flint is a little more timid than Ivan but he’s very playful and super sweet. He loves attention, feather wands, and other cats. Ivan warms up on his own timeline but enjoys pets when he feels comfortable. He also has an adorable habit of playing in water and hanging out by the sink. They are generally chill boys but do get the occasional zoomies — especially Ivan at night. Both love toy springs, cat tunnels, and cozy sleeping spots. Good to Know: Both prefer not to be picked up (Ivan especially). Flint may have occasional chronic URI flare-ups and may need periodic antibiotics; he will be a medical adoption through BTKR. Ivan has mild chronic runny eyes that may flare with environmental irritants. Daily Imuquin and a consistent diet are recommended. Flint loves other cats; Ivan does well with slow introductions. Current Diet: Temptations canned (chicken), Fancy Feast/Gravy Lovers (chicken), and Purina ONE Kitten dry food. They love Churu treats. Ideal Home: A patient, committed adopter who will keep them together and provide a stable, loving indoor home where they can continue to thrive. These boys are true survivors with so much love to give. 📧 Interested? Email: billythekiddenrescue@gmail.com

Story
Gunnar is a 3-5- year- old, medium haired tabico guy with a gentle heart of gold.  He’s looking for a quiet home, without children, and experienced cat parent(s) who can help him continue to build trust in humans and feel safe again.  If you’re looking for a sweet companion who will stick by your side, Gunnar is your dude!Gunnar arrived in the rescue for TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return).  He was growly and hissy at first, with sad eyes and a lethargy that suggested he’d just about given up…..but the volunteers felt like there was part of Gunnar that wanted to connect….. and with enough Churu and patience, Gunnar began to accept pets.  Gunnar had some health issues when he first came in, but he has healed up beautifully.  He went into a foster home to get some extra TLC, and it was there that his true personality finally emerged.  Gunnar took to home life like a duck to water, happily curling up on his foster parents’ bed, snoozing in his foster mom’s lap, and even allowing her to give him a much-needed bath.  He was excited to meet the other cats in the home, and very curious to explore his new domain.  He loves being near people, and dislikes being alone, so he’ll do best in a home where his people are there often, and there are other cats to keep him company while they’re out.  Gunnar is very expressive, and while he’s still working on getting entire meows out, he does the most precious little chirps to communicate with his foster family.  His foster parents are getting to know his moods based on his chirps, which change if he’s inquisitive, excited or nervous.  He has shown some interest in catnip mice, but his play skills are still developing as he focuses on his first love, which is getting all the pets and snuggles he possibly can.  After years on the street, he’s got a lot of love to make up for!Gunnar is FIV positive, but please don’t let that deter you!  While cats with FIV may need a bit longer to recover from illnesses, they generally live as long as their non FIV friends, especially when they live indoors and get regular vet care.  And, with proper introductions, they can live safely with non FIV kitties (just like Gunnar is now, in his foster home!)  Gunnar says if you’re interested in making him a part of your family, but worried about FIV, please reach out to us, and his foster mom will be more than happy to talk with you about any of your questions!Gunnar is currently enjoying Tiki After Dark chicken mousse, as well as Churu treats.  He is on some supplements to help strengthen his immune system as well; those go right into his food and he eats them like a champ! In addition to a calm, quiet home, Gunnar needs an adopter willing to brush him very regularly to help his fur stay its healthiest.  Luckily, he enjoys being brushed!  Gunnar also needs a family willing to commit to a slow integration process for him, and to be patient with him as they earn his trust.  We don’t know exactly what he went through outside, but we do know how amazing it is that this boy, who had no reason left to trust humans, has opened his heart up to love again.  Could you be the family to give him the love, security and permanence he so deserves?
