Story
Blizzard was rescued from a rural shelter with her four kittens. She was TERRIFIED and they actually thought she was feral! Turns out, she was protective of her babies, scared, and overstimulated in the shelter environment. Once she made it into a foster home and had a chance to decompress, she turned out to be a sweet, affectionate, and loving girl! Blizzard has been an amazing mama. Even once her own kittens were weaned, she took on several young orphans, cleaning, snuggling, and loving them. Now that Blizzard’s babies have been adopted and moved on, we can find her a perfect cozy home where she can enjoy being the perfect queen she is! She’s still fairly young, likely around two or three years old… aka old enough to be calm and well behaved, but young enough to still be playful! The first step is to complete the cat adoption application below. Symbiotic Inc. has a required minimum $150 adoption donation. If you are adopting two cats at once, it is a total of $250. (it is tax deductible!) All cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all needed health care before adoption is finalized. We require a meet and greet with all potential adopters, a home visit and a vet reference (if applicable). If you are interested in adopting please visit our website to find our adoptions standards and a link to our cat adoption questionnaire. https://symbioticinc.org/adoption-application

Story
Five years ago a very small kitten (Rebel) appeared on our back deck and would not leave. It stayed by the patio door and kept trying to get in. Finally the lobbying group of two grandmas, daughter and granddaughter won (named Rebel because of ladies of the house uniting against Grandpa) and they took the kitten in, got its shots and slowly merged it with the other 5 cats in the family. The older cats picked on him but he held his own. It also bonded with my wife's mother, who lived with us. Fast forward three years and mother-in-law died, as did 3 of the cats do to old age, disease, etc. This stress affected Rebel most. He began to fight with other cats and wet on furniture. Trips to the vet showed he was healthy but stressed, so we tried medication, etc. And Rebel began to scratch the door to go outside. So we gave him his own house and put him back outside. Now we are moving and cannot take Rebel. We need to rehome by June 1st.
