We do have a limited number of volunteers that are able to handle this beautiful wild child. If you love a challenge and all the benefits that come from a slowly developed relationship this lady is for you. She needs someone that is willing to take the time and patience to earn her trust. Loretta (like her sister Lucille) is a beautiful cat that is looking for a second chance to have a beautiful life that she deserves! She came to us through our spay/neuter program, she was scheduled to be returned to an overcrowded barn/shed/outside life, but luck was on her side that day as we had room for two adult cats to stay with us. Lucille and Loretta came to us that day, dirty and scared, but open to the opportunity. We were able to handle them and get them cleaned up, bathed, and do all the necessary "intake" items to start them on the way to better life. They came in the same day with a group of four kittens, not for the same place, or together, just at the same time, so they were all added to a room together. Unlike her sister Lucille, Loretta tends to keep to herself. She is sweet, and quiet, and understandably still seems a bit scared of her new world. Loretta just keeps her eye on the kittens and they will occasionally crawl into her cubie to nap which she is completely fine with.  Loretta is okay to be pet as she will very quietly purr if you do it for a little while. She just needs a bit more time to relax and realize she is safe. She is gorgeous! We know she will only become more beautiful once she has had a couple of weeks of good nutrition and a dry/safe bed.  Loretta would enjoy a peaceful home, where she knows she is always safe and loved. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Adorable right? This little girl came to our shelter very scared, hungry, cold, but trying to hard to keep her guard up. When we first approached her, she would hiss and hide in the corner, but we persisted anyway. Our volunteers are kitten loving experts, and we have all tamed our share of "wild beasts", Harmony is no exception. We discovered her hisses were just a cover for her purrs. Once we would pick her up she would snuggle in for pets, and begin to purr like the sweet little kitten she is. She continues to adjust to an inside life, filled with warm beds, good food, and lots and LOTS of love, but it may take a little bit to forget the life she had before. We will continue to socialize Harmony and build trust with her while she waits for her forever family to continue this journey. If you have lots of love and a little patience please consider adding Harmony to your family. (please read Kitten requirements below because of Harmony's age, size, and personality we will NOT make exceptions).  *****IMPORTANT******  We require your home to include a similar aged feline companion.
