Story
Hero is currently located in a foster home, here are a few words from his foster:"This gentle boy is aptly named, because he is indeed a hero. He was struck by a car and found with serious injuries to his pelvis and left leg. The emergency animal hospital preformed extensive surgery and he started his lengthy healing and rehab. Through all this he remained sweet, patient and loving. Now, several months later, his has become a feisty, in your face helper and cuddlebug wherever you sit down.Hero's best life would be as an only cat in the house, but he does get along with small dogs. He likes children above the age of 5 years and he is very partial to my nine year old granddaughter. One caution is that he will try to run out the door. He is fascinated with all things outside the window and hangs out by the door hoping to sneak out. I would keep him if he was companionable with my cat as he is just about perfect. There will be tears when he leaves for his new home."Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Mabel is marvelous, and is hoping you think she is as purrrrfect as we do!Mabel is a 1 year old domestic longhair.Mabel was surrendered to FVHA due to too many animals in the home. Mabel tends to be reserved here at the shelter. She is still getting used to shelter life and has been through a lot of change recently! Mabel would love a home filled with patience and kindness while she decompresses. Our adoption counselors are happy to go over how best to introduce her to your home and set her up for success.Mabel has lived with other cats previously. She would benefit from a slow introduction to any new household pets. Mabel will be spayed prior to adoption and has received core vaccinations (rabies and feline distemper), flea preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. If you have any questions about Mabel or our adoption process, please contact adoption staff at 920-733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org
