Story
Meet Boy Kitty! This handsome young boy cat is the son of Mama Kitty. :D No mom issues here, he's just a good influence on her and they do really well together so we'd love for them to be adopted together but it's not required. He would love another cat or cat friendly pup though. Boy Kitty is all about the humans and even loves pups too! He walked right up to the pup in his foster home and immediately tried to rub noses. He's also met the other cats in the home without issue too. But that's not all! This boy cat has the highest pitched meow! :D He almost squeaks and it's pretty stinking cute. He is a talker and will talk to you while he walks pack and forth for pets until your arm falls off. He doesn't love being held for a long time but will get in your lap and hang out as long as it suits him. This sweet boy will take a couple days to warm up but when he does, his cute squeak will find you anywhere to ask for pets or especially at dinner time. He knows when it is time to eat. Boy Kitty is litter box trained, loves chasing furry toys around, and will take treats out of your hand (very politely, of course). If you think you might have the perfect home for this boy (and hopefully his Mom), please let us know using this link: http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form. We'll forward it to his foster Mom who will happily call you to talk all thing Boy Kitty and see if it's a match. :D =================================================================================== If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Story
Hi there! This kitty is Loki the girl cat. Loki's owner died a few years ago and Loki has been in foster care ever since. She's about 5 years old now, vocal, BIG fan of pillows, loves perches near windows, obsessed with dogs, and typically prefers to be petted with your eyes. Yeah. Loki is extremely particular over who can pet her when. Her current foster (Loki's former Mom's sister) hasn't cracked the code. Loki will often meow and rub up against her humans, occasionally even allowing a pet! But if you pet too long or read the signs wrong, she slaps your hand (no claws used) and runs away. However, former owner's Mom is able to get a lot farther with Loki so we know there is hope for this cat. She was amazing with her original owner and we know she can be amazing with the right person again, we just need to find him/her. While Loki is people selective and shy at new places, she actually really likes sitting in the same room as people. She might not get in your lap (she did for last owner) but she loves being near you. She is also a HUGE FAN of all dogs. She meows at them, rubs against their legs, shares her food, and generally does really well with new dogs (of any size). She previously lived with 5 other cats (all of him who have been long sense adopted by now) and did well with her brother and another cat... She hasn't made any feline friends in her current foster home but is working on it. Look, we know this is a long shot. Loki will be amazing for the right person and we know she can be a loving cat, we just need someone to see her, fall in love, and give her the opportunity to blossom. If you're interested, please let us know via the link here: dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form and we'll forward it directly to her foster pawrent. Story
Hi, I'm Fernweh (but you can call me “Fern”)! I am a rescue kitten (16 weeks old) and currently live with my mama, older brother and sister from the same litter – we are all up for adoption! My mama was rescued from the brutal outdoors while still pregnant with me, so I’ve only known the lush life. I am a curious, brave, and super smart little kitten with TONS of energy. I love playing with my family, and I am litter trained! My foster human hopes to have us adopted in pairs - so please consider bringing one of my relatives too! If you know about cats, then you know we do much better throughout our lives if we are raised with another one :-) How cool would it be to have cats that are family? I hope you will talk to my foster human and come and meet us! ~ Love, Fern • No fee if you adopt from me! • INDOOR CAT ONLY! • NO DECLAW! • House visit required

Hi, I'm Marilyn! I am a rescue cat (~3 years old) from the brutal outdoors (along with my son, and baby daughter kittens - all also up for adoption). I am a very sweet girl – I never bite, but a little shy and it takes a while for me to trust a person. It has been hard adjusting to this new life, but I know it’s what is best for me and my kiddos. I am litter-trained and have excellent manners but will need a chill environment. My foster human hopes to have us adopted in pairs - so please consider bringing one of my kids too! If you know about cats, then you know we do much better throughout our lives if we are raised with another one :-) How cool would it be to have cats that are family? Hi, I'm Paulie! I am a rescue cat (8-9 months) from the brutal outdoors (along with my mama, and baby sister kittens - all also up for adoption). I am a very sweet boy, but super shy and it takes me a while to trust people. I stick close to my mama and sisters. I am litter-trained and have good manners but will need a patient human who has raised cats before. My foster human hopes to have us adopted in pairs - so please consider bringing one of my relatives too!
