Story
She is a very sweet cat. She’s young. Around a year old. She was found on the road when she was a kitten. She does like dogs but one of our dogs doesn’t get along with her. It’s the dog not her. She can be playful but loves attention.

Story
Hi there! This kitty is Loki the girl cat. Loki's owner died a few years ago and Loki has been in foster care ever since. She's about 5 years old now, vocal, BIG fan of pillows, loves perches near windows, obsessed with dogs, and typically prefers to be petted with your eyes. Yeah. Loki is extremely particular over who can pet her when. Her current foster (Loki's former Mom's sister) hasn't cracked the code. Loki will often meow and rub up against her humans, occasionally even allowing a pet! But if you pet too long or read the signs wrong, she slaps your hand (no claws used) and runs away. However, former owner's Mom is able to get a lot farther with Loki so we know there is hope for this cat. She was amazing with her original owner and we know she can be amazing with the right person again, we just need to find him/her. While Loki is people selective and shy at new places, she actually really likes sitting in the same room as people. She might not get in your lap (she did for last owner) but she loves being near you. She is also a HUGE FAN of all dogs. She meows at them, rubs against their legs, shares her food, and generally does really well with new dogs (of any size). She previously lived with 5 other cats (all of him who have been long sense adopted by now) and did well with her brother and another cat... She hasn't made any feline friends in her current foster home but is working on it. Look, we know this is a long shot. Loki will be amazing for the right person and we know she can be a loving cat, we just need someone to see her, fall in love, and give her the opportunity to blossom. If you're interested, please let us know via the link here: dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form and we'll forward it directly to her foster pawrent. If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Meet Sol – Big Personality, Special Diet 🧡 Sol is a confident, outgoing young cat with a huge personality packed into a sleek and stylish frame. Whether he’s strutting into the room like he owns it or chatting you up with his bold meows, Sol knows how to command attention! He’s playful, affectionate, and full of charm—a true character who will keep you smiling every day. Sol does have a sensitive stomach and is currently thriving on Royal Canin Hydrolyzed kibble. To keep him feeling his best, he’ll need to remain on this prescription diet long term. Because of this, Sol would do best as an only cat or in a home with others who are also eating the same food. He’s neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, FeLV/FIV negative, and litter box trained—ready to move in and steal your heart. 💻 Apply to adopt on our website 📧 Questions? Email info@forrescue.net

Story
🧡 Meet Amber 🧡 Looking for a quiet companion and a truly rewarding bond? Amber is a sweet, sensitive girl with a heart full of love, just waiting for the right person to help her feel safe after losing the only home she's ever known at 9 years old. This beautiful orange-and-white lady is impossible to forget, especially with her adorable crossed eyes that give her an extra dose of charm and personality. At 16 pounds, Amber is a big girl with an even bigger heart! Amber is what we like to call a "slow-burn" snuggler. She may be a little reserved when you first meet her, taking time to assess new people and surroundings. But once she trusts you, her affectionate side comes out in full force. She'll happily greet you with head rubs, follow you from room to room, and settle in beside you while you work, read, or relax. One of Amber's most endearing qualities is her responsiveness. Call her name, and she'll come right over to see what you're up to. She loves being near her people and is happiest when she's sharing your space—even if it's just lounging quietly by your side. Because of her gentle and sensitive nature, Amber would thrive in a calm, quiet, and predictable home. Patient adopters who allow her to settle in at her own pace will be rewarded with an incredibly loyal companion and the unique joy that comes from earning the trust of a shy rescue cat. Amber is not a fan of dogs, so she is looking for a canine-free home where she can feel comfortable and secure. She's fully spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and ready to start her next chapter with her forever family. ✨ Amber is adoptable through Friends of Rescue in Huntsville, Alabama. ✨ There is something truly magical about the love of a shy rescue cat once you've earned her trust. If you have a peaceful home and a place in your heart for a sweet cat who just needs a little time to bloom, Amber may be the perfect match for you. Apply today and give this special girl the loving forever home she's been waiting for. ❤️ #AdoptAmber #FriendsOfRescue #HuntsvilleAL #AdoptDontShop #RescueCat #OrangeCat #ForeverHomeWanted
