Story
Are you looking for a feline companion who knows exactly what she wants? Meet Ashley, a beautiful lady with a shiny black coat adorned with a sprinkle of faint white hairs on her chest. Ashley is a senior girl who enjoys doing things on her terms and can get overstimulated with too much attention. She does best in a calm environment where she can set the pace for interactions. Ashley appreciates her independence but also has a gentle, loving side that shines through once she feels comfortable.Ashley has experience living with another cat, so she might be a good fit if you are looking for a second feline companion who values personal space. To make it easier for our older cats to find loving homes, Ashley is part of the Edmonton Humane Society's "Senior for Senior" program. This initiative allows seniors (age 65 and up) to adopt senior cats (ages 7 and up) for a donation of your choice instead of our standard adoption fees. It's a perfect match for those looking for a mature, low-maintenance pet who will bring joy and companionship into their lives. Are you ready to give Ashley the loving home she deserves? Come meet her at the Edmonton Humane Society and let her unique personality capture your heart!https://youtu.be/bMGxnWM-evg Primary Color: Black Weight: 3.59 Age: 7yrs 1mths 0wks

Story
This cat is part of the Edmonton Humane Society's senior for senior program. To help the older felines in our care find suitable homes, adoption fees for senior cats (ages 7 and up) when adopted by senior people (age 65 and up) are by a donation of your choice, instead of our standard adoption fees.EHS volunteer comments: "Twilight isn't ready to fall in love immediately. She'll need to warm up to you on her time. She's a beautiful girl and is just a bit scared. Given time I'm sure she'll fall in love with someone who has her back and will protect her.""Twilight is a beautiful cat that needs some time to trust you. Start off letting her sniff your hand and give her some chin rubs. A bit of quiet conversation lets her know you're not a threat. Before long she'll come say hi and be rubbing up against you looking for some pets. Just move slow do you don't startle her and give her some good hiding spots so she feels safe. With a tiny bit of patience, she'll adapt quickly to a quieter home."Hello, I'm Twilight. I may be a senior, but I still have lots of love to give. I'm a little shy, a bit nervous too. New places and faces can be a tad overwhelming for me. But, give me some time, and I promise to warm up to you. I was declawed prior to coming to EHS. This reduces my ability to fight or flee in the face of danger so it is extra important that I am not allowed to roam freely outside.I'm not the kind of cat who will jump into your lap right away, but once I trust you, I'll be your loyal companion. I love cheek scratches, tunnels, and temptations. Sound like a good fit? Come meet me at the Edmonton Humane Society! This cat has a history of living with other cats and may be suitable for a multi-cat home. In order to help them find their purr-fect pal, the second adoption fee is 50% off when adopting two cats at the same time!https://youtu.be/NsDvabEJUA0 Primary Color: Grey Tabby Weight: 4.15 Age: 7yrs 6mths 0wks
