Story
Meet Beautiful Dot, Dot was rescued in the middle of July during a heat wave with her mom and brother Saddle without any resources to food or water. We knew time was against them and the little family was safely brought into their foster home. She was very malnourished and did great with her recovery. Dot is very loving and really enjoys to cuddle and play often with her brother and foster friends, she’s also good with cat friendly dogs. Dot would do best in a home without small children because they scare her. She really appreciates lounging around in a calmer environment. Dot loves cat tunnels and toys with feathers.

Story
Gabriela and Lucas were found abandoned, dirty and malnourished when they were about five weeks old. Found by their foster mother, who brought them back to health and has raised them both as siblings with an abundance of love care. They do well with other cats, but have expressed fear with dogs when exposed. It’s possible they could warm up to them over time if the dogs were calm and non-threatening, but full disclosure they were fearful the first time they met any. They would well with a quieter calm home and with older gentle children who are respectful of animals. Gabriela is more reserved at first, but once she is given the confidence of love she begins to reveal her loving personality. She is playful and loving. just like her brother Lucas. Both Lucas and Gabriela have built a strong bond with one another that is unbreakable and are always together. They bring out the best in each other and are looking for a loving home together as they are a bonded pair. Lucas is very out going and loves to make his presence known. He loves to play and loves making new friends. Once you pick him up he begins to show you his appreciation with his outgoing purr. If you think Gabriela and Lucas would be a good fit for your family, and you can provide them with a safe, indoor only life, please submit an application on our website at www.secondchancekitty.org today! All Second Chance Kitty cats are free-fed a quality dry food with low or no grain and are STRICTLY INDOOR ONLY. All of our babes come altered, microchipped, vaccinated, rabies (if age appropriate), FeLV/FIV negative unless stated otherwise , dewormed, flea treated, litter box trained and full of love. Our adoption fees are a minimum $150 donation. Anything beyond $150 helps rescue another babe. Adoption isn't an impulsive decision, it must be thought out carefully. Owning a cat is a 15 to 20+ year commitment. Can we afford a cat? If we're renting do they allow pets here? Is there a pet deposit? Can we afford the pet deposit? What if we get sick, what if the kitty becomes ill and has to see a veterinarian? Kitty requires routine check-ups, annual vaccines, quality food, litter and toys, can we afford this? These are all questions a responsible pet owner must ask themselves. If you can make this type of commitment please take a moment and visit our website at www.secondchancekitty.org to submit an application. Story
Meet Hunter! Hunter came to Second Chance Kitty as a small kitten. He contracted feline herpes and calicivirus as a kitten. These types of kitties are hard to adopt out and a good friend took him and Mister Mistofaleas (same issues) and gave them a loving my home and family. Unfortunately, their good luck ran out and their foster mom passed away from cancer. He and mister are back with us again. They are very nice cats and love affection. They get along well with other cats and cat friendly dogs, as his former owner had three dogs. Hunter annd Mister Mistofaleas eat both dry (free fed) and wet food (evening). These sweet boys are ready to be someone’s sweetheart again either alone or together. Their needs are the same as any cat, love, quality food and care. They sometimes have a little runny nose and sneeze occasionally but full disclosure. They’re GREAT CATS. If you think Hunter and/or Mister Mistofaleas would be a perfect fit for your family and you can provide him/them with an indoor only life, please submit an application today at www.secondchancekitty.org. Story
Hi I’m Emmy , beautiful brown and orange calico cat . I’m a young mother of four rambunctious kittens. Unfortunately my humans abandoned us out on a levee road for all kinds of predators to find! But luckily my foster mom and Oreo’s Haven found us gave us a safe home to live in . My mom says I am the most lovable, sweetest cat she has ever known. I love to play with my kiddos and also the family dog Tucker. I also get along super well with all of the other cats here

Story
Gryffindor was born into rescue 4/7/2023. He has quite a quirky personality. He enjoys spending his days lounging around and playing with his toys. He would be good with a playmate but is also very good at entertaining himself. He loves attention on his terms, and he will let you know by meowing. He plays hard to get with the petting but loves it. It's a game to him.

Story
Casper is a 2–3-year-old male. His gentle soul was pulled from a feral/community cat colony about a year ago in hopes to finding him a loving home. Casper enjoys lounging around the house and playing with his toys. He especially loves his kitty hammock. He loves attention and pets. He would be best as an only cat or with one additional female feline companion. He has not been around kids, but ideally, we think a calm household would be best.

Story
Cleo is a 1-year-old torbie (tabby/tortie markings) female. She is very shy at first and takes some time to come out of her "shell". She was taken in as very sick and small kitten. Her foster momma has taken such great care of her to get her all better and for adoption. Cleo enjoys her days running around the house and playing with her foster siblings (especially her brother Stallone). Although she is not bonded with any specific foster sibling, Cleo would do best with a kitty play mate at her new home.
