Story
This loving little guy was found roaming the streets. He introduced himself by walking right into our apartment and asking for love and attention. Of course we couldnt say no. He was dirty and covered in fleas, and very underfed. Things that were all easy fixes with a little love, medicine, and RnR. He now waits for a home where he can live the easy life indoors, no longer having to fight other feral cats for a scrap of meat.

Story
Watson was surrendered to Valley Humane along with his brother, Sherlock. The two are closely bonded. The boys are playful and while reserved when first meeting new people, they have a wonderful deep purr once they are comfortable. While in shelter care, the boys have been introduced to many other cats. They make feline friends quickly and easily! Watson is an attention hog; he follows his brother's lead but after he's assured it's a safe situation, he won't let you stop petting him until he's had enough.Watson's adoption fee is waived!Do you have questions about this animal or are you ready to take the next step to adoption? Story
Izzy was surrendered to Valley Humane on 1/31 due to the declining health of her owner. In her previous home, she was a lap cat and would frequently visit her owner in their chair. She enjoys cat nip toys, feathers, fishing pole toys, cat trees, scratching posts, and love. She is accustomed to an indoor only lifestyle and uses her litter box with no issues. Izzy is adjusting to her new environment and will likely benefit from a quiet household that is willing to give her time to acclimate to a new forever home. Izzy's adoption fee, along with those of all senior cats in 2024, is waived thanks to a generous gift made in memory of Patrick Phelan.Do you have questions about this animal or are you ready to take the next step to adoption? Story
Sheldon is a very sweet, intelligent 5-year-old neutered male tabby. He loves to nap in sunny spots and get drinks from the shower. He also loves to snuggle in your arms and on laps. He seems to have a bit of a sensory issue. He does not enjoy being touched all over, but loves a gentle belly rub, a head scratch, and paw massage. He also loves his tail to be pet and wiggled. If he was human, he would love a weighted blanket because he finds comfort in hugs and squeezes. Sheldon is very sensitive to change and gets nervous around strangers. In his previous home, he tried to create security for himself by being territorial and going potty outside of his litterbox from time to time. His previous owner believed the family/home felt too chaotic for him. He and their other cat were littermates, but Sheldon found no comfort in the other cat's attempts to cuddle or be buddies.Sheldon's adoption fee is waived!Sheldon was diagnosed with a grade III-IV/VI murmur. A cardiac ultrasound was performed and diagnosis is a a stage B1 hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) was diagnosed. HOCM is a genetic disease that causes thickening of the heart muscle as well as turbulent flow of blood through the aorta. At this time, the cat you are adopting is not showing any signs of heart failure. He is currently on a medication called Atenolol to help his heart and will have to be on it life long. He will need a repeat cardiac ultrasound in 6 months to assess progress of his heart disease.Do you have questions about this animal or are you ready to take the next step to adoption?
