Meet Gandalf! Gandalf has been with us for almost 5 years now. Gandalf loves to be pet, but like many cats, he can become overstimulated and hits his threshold of being touched. If you learn his signals you can easily tell when he's had enough and that's when you would step away and just let him have his alone time. He does get along pretty well with all of the cats at the shelter but we do think he would really thrive in a home where he was the only cat. Gandolf has a special little quirk in that he absolutely loves butt scratches! He will go up to all of the visitors asking for butt scratches and will raise his tail up high! He also is very limber and will jump from cat tree to cat tree, following visitors around to make sure he gets more butt scratches! Meet Namaste! Truly one of the world's sweetest and gentlest kitties but unfortunately also a very painfully shy kitty so shy that most visitors to the shelter will never get to experience this adorable little guy and his larger than life personality because he hides until the coast is clear. When the shelter is quite and only the volunteer's he knows are around is when he will emerge from his hiding spot. During that time he will approach us for chin and head scratches, he'll play with the other kitties, he loves to investigate the sink when the tap is running. It will definitely take someone who is patient and willing to put in the time to earn Namaste's trust.
