Story
He was rehomed already through a family member, I took him in cause they were getting rid of him and my cat max “male” needed a friend. But ever since the first meet it has been an battle. They could go weeks without fighting. They would play fight but nothing serious. When they would have vet visits and come back home he wouldn’t recognize the other male cat. Due to senses. It would also happen when I a friend would come over that had another pet scent. Sometimes it would happen others it wouldn't. This happens like every 3-6 months where an incident would happen. Sometimes it would last a day or 2 but this time its lasting more than that and the rest of us think its time for a permanent change. If you are adopting I heavily consider blue being your only pet. Hes very territorial but can be a very loving addition to your family. I just want him to be properly taking care of instead of sitting inside a cage to die. Please give him a chance

Story
Bug is a huge cuddle bug. Hints his name. We got him at a meer 5 weeks old (4 years ago) and he definitely displays some symptoms of leaving the nest a little too soon. He is an anxious guy, he suckles on blankies and when he plays, it is rough. (But never out of anger) Our house has became chaotic over the years, we had a baby just a year after getting him and the busy household makes him hideout a lot of the day. He's such a sweet guy and just wants to be your couch buddy and he deserves to be in a calmer environment where he can thrive and be himself instead of staying in what seems like survival mode for him. I hate rehoming and have put it off for quite a while but it's getting to the point where I feel like I'm holding on for selfish reasons. He's so goofy, he likes to follow you and watch whatever you're doing, and can open door handles. So. Get knobs if you plan on keeping him out of an area. 😂 Let me know if you have the patience/room for Bug in your home. ❤️

Story
Sheba - A Fairy Tale In a land not far away called Brown County, is a cat named Sheba. A beautiful girl with fur of gold and brown and eyes of green, all Sheba wants is to find her happily ever after. You see, Sheba knows in her heart that she is a sweet and loving cat, but she has been under the spell of fear. At the shelter, Sheba tried so hard. She would happily greet all visitors with soft head butts and gentle purrs, reaching out for the friendship she so badly wants. Everyone would smile at how cute and sweet she was, but then her anxiety would build up and she would lash out. It was just all too much. Then, Sheba met her Fairy Foster Mother, who took her home for a break. There, under the new spell of patience and kindness, Sheba has been able to relax, away from the crowds and noises. She has stopped being overwhelmed and is now calm and happy. She spends her days lounging in sun puddles and learning which toys are her favorites (anything that rolls). Her purrs have become even stronger and she whiles away her time snuggling with her foster mom, watching the birds outside the window, and finding all of the softest places to take naps. Best of all, she is finally able to show off what a sweet and loving companion she really is. Sheba's foster home is filled with love, but it's only temporary - the forever love she seeks is still out there. She longs for the day when she'll have her own peaceful home: a peaceful place where she can be the only pet and take long, luxurious naps; where sunbeams stream through the windows and the birds fly outside; where there are tennis balls to chase, and where she can share her love with her own forever companion. Can you be Sheba's happily ever after? Since Sheba is in foster care, she will require an appointment to meet her. Please complete an online adoption application and a staff member will reach out to set up a meet and greet. A wonderful friend of Sheba loves her so much they have sponsored her adoption fee! www.bchumane.org/adoption-application/

Story
Avocado is a sweet and friendly cat who has been my companion for the last 2 years. He is cuddly and sleeps most of the time but is chatty and relaxed during his waking hours. Cado is good with kids and while shy around other animals, does not start fights or become aggressive. When afraid Cado will run and hide rather than bite or scratch. Cado has truly been a great companion to me and it breaks my heart that my health and financial situation have placed me in the position that I can no longer care for him. If adopted, Cado's new owner can also have his dome shaped litter box, and all other cat supplies. I am hoping he finds a lovely home with people who will love him like I do!
