Story
Junior was initially slated to be a barn cat but after being with us for a bit we realized that he had potential and would prefer the indoor life! Junior is approximately 2 years old and is still a little rough around the edges. He loves cheek scratches and treats. He will swat if he wants more love and will give a warning bite if you dare touch his belly. He loves to curl up next to us at night and watch birds during the day. Junior would prefer to be the only cat in the home. He has been ok with our old husky but older kids only (12+) due to his need for ongoing manner refinement. Junior is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and treated for fleas/ticks/worms. He is available to an indoor only home with no declawing. If interested in giving this hunk his forever home please email FoFF foster coordinator, Cindy, at cmm283@yahoo.com.

Story
After 1.5 years at the Ranch battling ear/sinus infections and ultimately undergoing surgery to definitively correct their issues……Tony and Meadow (littermates) have a clean bill of health and are now available for adoption together. Tony (black male) and Meadow (brown tabby female) will be 2 years old this coming March and are the absolute sweetest cats! They are on the small side and have old souls. They love to snuggle, are the first ones at the dinner table and never miss nightly bedtime snacks. They love to play with toys, especially the spring toys, which Tony will carry to the top of the stairs, drop, then chase it down the stairs. Tony and Meadow are good with other cats, dogs and kids. They are neutered/spayed, up to date on all vaccines, and treated for fleas/ticks/worms. They are available to an indoor only home with no declawing. If interested in giving this sweet pair a forever home please email FoFF foster coordinator, Cindy, at cmm283@yahoo.com.

Story
Gingersnap came to us with a very common and heartbreaking sad situation as a stray that landed in a kill shelter in Tennessee.   This beautiful girl was so terrified and despite that the shelter staff knew she  had a sweet spirit about her.   The shelter could have adopted her out because she is FIV positive.  Her way out alive was if she was to leave  with a reputable rescue that knew how to place cats like her.  She is very healthy and we have learned so much about cats living long and wonderful lives even with the FIV diagnosis.  She does not care for other cats and that is fine she cannot be around cats unless they are also FIV positive.   I'm sure she could adjust with another cat but she tends to just run away from them and she hisses and growls at dogs.  She would be a wonderful cat for a quiet home with a retired couple or empty nesters who have had all the young children fly the nest.  We do suggest a quiet home with no dogs  she loves to sleep in her little Kitty bed and enjoys a simple existence where she can receive human love and attention.   If you are interested in this sweet girl please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   May 3, 2024, 9:46 pm

Story
Charger and Challenger are two sweet brothers who came to us without socialization. They were small scared little kittens that were rescued from outside with no mother in sight.  Over the many months that we have had them, they have started to show their distinct personalities, with Charger being very affectionate “on his terms”  and Challenger enjoying his treats and food quite a lot. Charger is the more social of the boys and manages well with other dogs and cats. Challenger prefers a much quieter environment and both boys would see great success in a home without young children/noise/chaos, which is where they are being fostered now.  This foster mom says these boys are not lap cats yet, but she believes in a quieter environment Charger could become more outgoing. Both are food and resource driven but they haven't shown interest in plants or countertops. Off and on we've seen some territorial peeing but I think that would stop if there were less animals in their environment overall.  We have a new element coming to the current foster home…an elderly mother, and we feel this will not better their environment but it will complicate it.   If you are willing to help Critter Cavalry Rescue to foster them in an understanding cat home where they can blossom without so many young people distracting them, then we would love your help!   Or if you want to adopt these boys and help them continue their growth and journey to more normalcy, then please let us know!   Contact us at viviennejames@comcast.net if you are interested. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 3, 2024, 9:46 pm
