* My adoption fee will be waived February 13-15 * Meet Red! This sensitive and shy 8 year old cat came to us on a transport, so we are still getting to know him. Red is worried and sweet, and has been through a lot of big transitions recently, so he`s looking for a lower-traffic home so that he can settle in and build confidence at his own pace. Red is what we might call a spirit cat, and if you adopt him, you probably wouldn’t even notice he`s in your house at first, if not for the mysterious overnight disappearance of cat food. We often can’t predict how a spirit cat will be after they settle in – some become comfortable around their family and choose to spend time with them by sharing the same space or allowing some petting, while others continue to prefer to hide when there’s any commotion. Spirit cats generally prefer to spend their time around other cats and make an excellent kitty friend to a cat already in the home. Our staff can help prepare adopters to welcome a spirit cat into a quiet home, but patience and understanding will go a long way with Red.Red is enjoying his time in an office away from the main adoption area, so ask the staff about him when you get here!

This cat is part of our Working Cat Program! This program is for cats that are not well suited for an indoor-only type lifestyle but would thrive in environments with more space, a job, and/or less pressure from humans and other pets.This cat originally came to us from the outdoors so we don`t know a lot about his past. While they are used to people being in somewhat close proximity to feed and care for them, these are not currently social cats but would make great ‘behind the scenes’ working cats! Don&#8217:t be spooked by his name, Boo is a sweet and chatty little guy with more charm than a catnip factory! This kitty is on a low-carb diet and is on medication to help manage his diabetes (staff can tell you more!). He loves head scratches and soft beds to snuggle up on, so he&#8217:s looking for adopters that are ready to help him live out his best life as a couch potato! Boo is full of love and a pinch of sass, so he would like to be your one and only pet, please!
