Meet Bobby!Bobby is a very good boy. Bobby is also a big boy!Bobby weighs about 17 pounds and he is ALL love.Bobby was rescued by a volunteer from the city of Butterfield. Bobby is friendly, calm, and playful! Bobby is a lapcat and loves to be pet and brushed.Bobby befriended another kitty, Marianne, while at the shelter. They are now being fostered together in a volunteer's home. Bobby seems to do great with other kitties. He does great with kids, too! We're not sure if Bobby's met dogs, but he should do fine with proper introductions.Bobby is SO sweet and mellow. He loves receiving affection and playtime. He also loves scratching and lounging on his scratching post. He'll want a scratching post at his new home. Bobby's favorite toys are the dangling strings on his scratching post. They are SO FUN! He's so silly to watch play and get riled up with his toys.95% of the time Bobby is a big mellow boy and the other 5% he's a playful kitten at heart.Bobby has a flatter-than-normal nose which may be causing him to have some breathing abnormalities. It doesn't seem to bother him too much. We are trying some treatments to try and help his breathing. It may be a life-long abnormality for Bobby that will need a special consideration for his overall health. Bobby would benefit from losing some weight, and this could help his breathing as well.Bobby is SUCH a good kitty and has been waiting over 88 days for his home! Meet Mia!This timid gal was rescued from the streets of Butterfield. She had kittens and they were all quickly adopted.Now it is Mia's turn to find her home!Mia is small, sweet, and shy. She likes to be gently pet and calmly talked to by volunteers. She will need a little patience from her new person, but will give you love and affection in return.This precious girl was such a good mama to her kittens and now she needs all the love she deserves.update, 7-12: Mia has been in foster care for about a week and is doing great! She happily greets her foster mom, loves lounging on the scratching post by her window. playing with kitty toys, and getting pet. Mia is like a big kitten at times, the way she plays! She is super-cute to watch and interact with. She's still pretty shy but likes to be pet once she's comfortable with you. She also coexists with her kitten roommates quite well. She seems to do fine with kittens or maybe with very calm adult cats that will not pick on her. Mia has the cutest squeaky little meow! She mostly likes getting pet on her head. She'll walk away when she's had enough petting. She really likes wet cat food a couple times a day. And she's great with her litterbox. Mia is a special girl and will be a nice and easy kitty to have at home. She just needs a calm, quiet household to be her sweet self.Will you save Mia? She will be so happy to have a home of her own and get out of the shelter. She has been at the shelter for over 65 days.Mia is spayed and vaccinated. She's estimated to be a little over 1 year old.Mia may do well with other pets, with proper introductions. Older children should be fine for her.
