Story
Lucky was brought to the shelter from a hoarding situation. There were around 13 cats in the home. Lucky will need a patient and understanding adopter as she adapts to her new environment. Her foster mom continues to work with her on being able to pet her-she is very skittish of people. But she shows improvement daily. She is around one year old and weighs 5-6 pounds. She is litter box trained. Lucky has so much kitten energy! She loves toys and meal time! She loves playing with her sister Ficus Audrey (also available for adoption) and the other cats in her foster home. We will require that her new home have another well -adjusted cat in the home, so she has an example to follow and a playmate!

Story
Hi, I'm Piper! I'm a very sweet and gentle kitty looking for a loving companion. I adore being pet and like to snuggle up with my close friends. I can often be found simply lounging in my bed, or hanging out in a warm sunbeam. Her foster says "She is very bubbly and social! She is a vocal girl and will let you know it is time for her to get some pets! She enjoys playing with hair ties and scratching her post as well as taking naps together. She is the sweetest girl in the whole world, there isn't a mean bone in her body!"

Story
Hello, I'm Edith! I'm a sweet older girl with lots of love to give. I perk up whenever people come to visit me, and get so excited to be pet. I've been told my heart is even bigger than my belly! I'm pretty easy-going. I enjoy lounging in the sun, watching the birds, and cuddling on the couch. I got along pretty well with the cat I came in with, and may adjust to living with another feline companion. ______________________________________________________________ This cat has a condition called "feline ceruminous cystomatosis," where small dark cysts form in the ear canal. Due to the abnormal ear canal, this cat is at increased risk of ear infections in the future (and was treated on intake for one).

Story
Hello, I'm Rupert (or as my foster mom likes to call me, Precious Rupies)! I'm a very snuggly guy, and am happiest when I'm in the company of my friends. I'll usually follow my humans around, happily rubbing against their legs until they pick me up. I absolutely love to be held, and often wrap my arms around your neck in a hug. I purr and purr and purr when you're near, and even enjoy belly rubs (which, as you may know, is not common for a cat). I'm honestly just so happy to be alive-- when I came to CMHS, I was at death's door. I was so cold and thin, my eyes were crusted shut, my nose was congested, and I had ulcers all over my tongue. But the veterinary team and my foster mom worked so hard to get me on the road to recovery! After lots of meds, tube feeding, and plenty of love, I'm doing much better. I'm currently eating an all wet food pate diet, and am on a special oral medication (Senvelgo) to help balance my blood sugar. Now that I'm feeling better, I'm very playful! I love to chase after interactive wand toys, bat around my mouse that squeaks when I hit it, and wrap around big plush kicker toys. I might even like another cat to wrestle with in my new home. _____________________________________________________________________ This cat came to the shelter is very poor condition with a severe upper respiratory infection (suspected to be calicivirus). He required a feeding tube to eat and extensive medical care and time in foster to improve. He likely has some ocular adhesion in his left eye from his chronic viral infection, so this eye may never appear normal. As of 4/1/24, he has improved significantly and is now eating on his own and gaining weight, although mild ocular and nasal discharge remained. He may require continued medical management with the adopter's veterinarian following adoption if upper respiratory signs remain or recur. Rupert was also diagnosed with diabetes and is currently being managed on Senvelgo. Follow-up care with the adopters veterinarian should be sought soon following adoption.

Story
Hi, I'm Ravioli! I've been a little stressed since arriving at CMHS, so I haven't been able to show off my true personality. I've never really been a big fan of other cats, and dogs have proven to be quite scary- so needless to say, the shelter is not my favorite place. In my previous home I was always friendly with people, and liked to hang out close by and get a few pets here and there. Once we're good friends, I'll even come when you call for me! I'm hoping to find a home where I'll get lots of interactive playtime (I like to hunt and pounce on wand style toys), and have a nice spot to birdwatch.

Story
Hello my name is Little Debbie! I came in to the shelter with my five babies and took care of them until they were ready to be with another foster mommy. I was apparently a very good mommy so much so that my kiddos needed to have their own space to get used to people. I miss them very much but am happy they are going to their own homes and now I'm ready to go to mine! I am a super sweet gal that loves to give lots of leg rubs and head bumps and give and get lots of attention and love. I am a little shy but if you are patient I think I can adapt to most environments. Oh and my foster mommy says I am absolutely beautiful!
