Story
Godiva is a true explorer. She's always the first to check out new areas of the house or investigate any new toy or object. Her curiosity outweighs her caution, and she never backs down from a challenge. With endless energy, she dashes around the room, leaving her kitten companions behind. Godiva also quite the climber, persistently trying until she succeeds. Toys and cat trees are a must for this playful girl! But beyond her adventurous spirit, Godiva is a sweetheart and enjoys moments of closeness. As a little baby, she was bottle fed and after eating she'd cuddle and stare into her foster dad's eyes. Requires another cat in the home: Yes, kittens always do better with a friend! A bored kitten is naughty kitten.Good with other cats: YesWould be fine with young kids (under 10): Not fostered with kids but we're confident she would do well Good with dogs: Not fostered with dogs but we're confident she would adjust with time Home activity level: Average to "bring on the ruckus"Health concerns or special needs: No We believe this kitten/cat was born around 4-1-2024. It is fostered in a private home in Lincoln. The adoption fee is $150 (or $250 for two) which covers age appropriate vaccines and dewormings, a microchip, FIV/FeLV testing, and a spay/neuter. Story
Did you know the likelihood of an orange kitten being born female is one in five? Bonded sisters-from-another-mister Cleopatra and Cornelia are a true rare pair of ginger kittens, ready to pounce into their new digs, warming your lap and heart. These two feline friends had a rough start to life with Cleopatra losing four of her six siblings; Cornelia was an orphaned bottle baby graciously taken in by Cleo’s mother. They have been together since they were two weeks old. Both girls are currently hitting their kitten stride, always ready to play with wand toys, laser pointer and pom balls; they have excellent litter box skills and prefer poultry-flavored wet cat food. A window to watch the world go by, and vertical adventure space are a must. Equal parts sassy and sweet, Cleopatra and Cornelia are a complementary pair of spunky felines who will add abundant personality, and endless shenanigans to their forever home! Requires another cat: Just eachother!Good with other cats: Given Cornelia’s FIV positive status, We would suggest not having other cats in the home unless they are also FIV postitive. (note: we are resting since kittens do sometimes have false positives)Good with dogs: Possibly with slow introduction.Would be fine with young kids (under 10): Possibly with slow introduction.Home activity level: Bring on the ruckus!Health concerns or special needs: Cleopatra has some slight limitations with hear hearing and vision that do not affect her significantly; she only requires being approached in a calm and obvious manner. Cornelia has tested positive for FIV – she will be re-tested at four months of age to confirm status; cats with FIV will live normal lives if they are kept indoors and up to date on routine veterinary care. Cornelia has FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Since FIV affects a cat’s immune system, symptoms will only appear once the cat has contracted a secondary infection. Indoor cats with FIV can go on to live normal, long, healthy lives. The risk of transmission between friendly household cats that stay indoors is low (the most common way that FIV spreads among cats is through biting). FIV is not a huge deal and it certainly shouldn't be a death sentence. Cornelia would be happy to join any family! Here is more information on FIV: https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-infection  We believe these cats was born around 3/28/2024. Legend has it tongs only work if you click them twice before using them. Lucky for you, we’ve pre-clicked this Tongs and he’s ready to grab your heart! Tongs is a smart, curious kitten who loves being around his people and interacting with other cats. He can most often be found in a cuddle puddle with his siblings or chasing any toy that makes noise or has a feather. Tongs has excellent litterbox manners and is working hard to learn what surfaces he’s allowed to scratch on. Story
*Ready in August* Meet Harry, a gentle 1-year-old gray cat seeking a loving and patient forever home. Harry’s shy nature means he takes time to warm up to new people and environments. However, with patience and love, he reveals his sweet and affectionate side. Once he feels safe, Harry enjoys quiet petting moments and will purr softly in appreciation. He prefers a calm and quiet household where he can gradually come out of his shell. A family that understands his need for a gentle approach and can give him time to adjust would be ideal. Harry gets along well with other cats and could benefit from a feline companion.
