Story
King is the sweetest cat you’ll ever meet. He’s so loving and loyal, he wouldn’t hurt a fly. All he wants is to cuddle and sleep on you, I’ve never met a cat like him. He’s completely trained and roughly 10 years old, it breaks my heart to be making this post but I can’t take him with me to my new home. I want to find someone to love him as much as we do, and make him apart of your family.

Story
Sally came to Brave after her family had to move out of the country and could not take her. At 5 years old and 11 lbs, she has been loved and taken care of her whole life! Sally is very people-friendly and does well with kids of all ages. She is a relaxed cat who prefers to cuddle and lounge around. Sally enjoys ear scratches most of all. She likes to roll on the carpet with her belly up. It's up to you to decipher if that's an invitation for a belly rub (sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't!).  At night, she prefers to sleep around your legs, especially if there’s a cozy gap. During the day, she usually sleeps on a pillow. Sally is an easy-going cat, but she will engage in play if you have a special toy or laser pointer. Her favorite toy is a simple hairband. She has a habit of stealing hairbands and hiding them under the bed or fridge. We hope for Sally to find a family who loves her as much as her first family did!  Requires another cat in the home: NoGood with other cats: Would do best as an only cat Would be fine with young kids (under 10): Yes, has lived with kidsGood with dogs: Would do best as an only cat Home activity level: Quiet to average Health concerns or special needs: No - she is a noisy breather, but she's been seen by the vet and this isn't a concern.  We believe Sally was born around 2-11-2020. She is fostered in a private home in Lincoln. The adoption fee is $125 which covers age appropriate vaccines and dewormings, a microchip, FIV/FeLV testing, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures. If you’re interested in adopting this kitten/cat, please submit an inquiry or email BraveAnimalRescue@gmail.com to ask about our adoption process (please check your spam or junk email if you do not hear back from us within a few business days). We are 100% volunteer staffed and will respond to your email as soon as possible. Meet and greets are held virtually via Zoom and we offer a trial period to ensure your cat/kitten is a match. Story
Mums (short for Chrysanthemum), was initially rescued from the euthanasia list when she and her kittens ended up a shelter with ringworm. She lived happily with her adopters for several years and even gained a companion named Effy, but her family opted to surrender them to us when they had a child with severe cat alergies. Mums is quiet and a bit shy, but when she is ready to snuggle, she will be all over you demanding head and belly rubs for as long as you can supply them. She will gladly share your bed as well if you offer. If cats had a love language, hers is physical touch. Don’t let her fool you, she’s not just in it for snuggles, she loves her active times and will happily engage in toy play or have a rumpus with her bonded “sister” Effy. Mums is also highly food motivated and would benefit from a bit of a diet or more movement in her day. Mums is more independent and with time and patience she will seek out companionship. These two girls would make perfect companions if you are looking for very calm personalities and want cats that seek out affection through pets and snuggles. They are perfectly content to lay beside you and be your couch buddy. Story
Effy is a 4-year-old short-hair Torbie. Between Effy and her BFF Mums, Effy is more likely to explore and check out a new environment. She is full of meows and will lovingly demand attention. Effy is also very much a shadow and will follow you wherever you go. She loves a good snuggle but will play hard with you, by herself, or with her bonded “sister” Mums. Effy and Mums were surrendered to us when their family had a child who is severely allergic to cats. While not at food motivated, she definitely knows the sound of a can of food opening. She loves to hunt for toy mice and enjoys being brushed. These two girls would make perfect companions if you are looking for very calm personalities and want cats that seek out affection through pets and snuggles. Jean is a very affectionate kitty who loves to snuggle and is still very playful at his age! He's a very anxious kitty who does not get along with other cats and is very protective of his owner, and extra stress can cause him to spray/have some urinary issues. I would love for him to go to a single cat home with an owner who can give him the proper love and attention he needs to thrive!
