Olivander came to HOPE after his owners could no longer properly care for him. When he came to us, he was brought in a dirty cage covered in feces. He was promptly brought to the veterinarian where he was examined and updated on vaccinations and captured the hearts of the entire staff. Olivander is the type of cat that will put a spell on humans and make you fall in love with him. If you pet him then take your hand away, he will gently grab it so that you continue to pet him. He is approximately 6 years old, has tested negative for FIV and FeLV and is neutered. He is patiently waiting for his loving forever home where he will receive lots of attention-and pets, of course!

Floki came to us after his owner found herself without a home and needing services to take care of herself. Although she loves him very much, she was living in her car and knew Floki needed a better life than she could give. He is a very sweet and handsome 6-year-old cat who loves attention. If you talk to him, he will most likely talk back. Floki is up to date on vaccines, tested negative for FIV and FeLV and is ready to be adopted into his forever home. He was living with his sister therefore he may do well with other cats.

Tut came to us in November when his owner passed away and no one in the family could take him. Since then, he has become a favorite of everyone at the rescue. He is estimated to be between 13 and 16 years old. He came to us with an infected tooth and although that was cleared up, a flutter in his heart was discovered. He had an echocardiogram and it was determined that he may have an underlying heart condition called Hyperthrophic Cardiomyopathy. Because of this, he will need echocardiograms every 6-12 months and may eventually need medication. Once we knew it was safe, we had the problem tooth extracted and a dental cleaning completed. He occasionally needs ointment for his eyes, but don't let him fool you, his eyesight is great! Tut is an independent cat who enjoys perusing every corner of the cat adoption center then taking a long nap on the facility manager’s computer chair while she works. He usually has at least one zoom across the floor each day. He is not a dominant cat and has been with other cats that have not treated him very nicely. Due to this, he would do best as an only cat or with a kitty that knows how to play nice with others.

Beau is a beautiful 7 year old FiV+ kitty. Before coming to us, he was living in an assisted living facility where he was frequently caught sneaking out and roaming the halls. Beau is a very affectionate companion who loves to cuddle and be around people. Don't worry, he will let you know when he misses you as he is a vocal kitty! He is outgoing, friendly, and loves being brushed, his personality shining through no matter where he is. Beau requires specific care due to his FIV positive diagnosis. He has a slightly bent left ear, a lump on his back that the vet is aware of, and has gotten teeth removed in the past. Beau is neutered and updated on all vaccines. He ready to be in his forever home and be loved for the sweet, resilient boy he is!

Violet is a sweet 1.5 year old kitty. Her owner is moving somewhere they can't have a cat and are looking to find her a home just as sweet as she is. Violet is a playful, talkative, and independent. She absolutely loves other cats and does amazing with dogs, has no fear of them (lived with a small dog and medium dog in her previous homes). She would most likely do best in a home with other animals. Violet is friendly but quite skittish around people and seems unsure around them (will meow for attention then run away when you try to pet her). That said she will sit on laps and ask to be pet if she is comfortable and on her own terms. She loves toy mice and balls she can swat around especially the ball on a plastic track style toys. She LOVES foam and rubber toys to chew but supervise closely or she may eat pieces of them. Violet is on medication (gabapentin) for anxiety twice daily. She does have a habit of chewing which is believed to be an anxiety symptom, she will chew and try to eat toys, plants, anything rubber/foam, and wires (although she seems to have given that one up lately). These things are best kept out of her reach and any plants that are within her reach should be non toxic to cats. She also shows a lot of skittish behavior around people bu she has huge potential for improvement in this area especially if she continues with her medication, she has already improved dramatically in the months her owner has had her.
