Story
Lucy has always had "tortitude" - she is very particular on how she's petted but definitely does want to be petted and loves to snuggle against your face. She bites a lot, never hard enough to draw blood but often enough that guests have to be warned. She has a ton of personality and is not afraid of anything. She's good on a leash for outside jaunts. When we first adopted her in '17 she got along with the other cats but that changed suddenly within a year and now she hates them. We put in feliway diffusers and put her on a daily dose of 5mg fluoxetine but this did not significantly improve her mood. It was also around this time that she started having litter box troubles. First she started peeing and later pooping outside of the litter boxes. She has had many vet exams and appears to be in fine health. We've had two urinary tract tests that came back negative and she has been put on a special diet for IBS. We love her but can't keep her. Glad to elaborate on any of this in messages.

Story
Misty is a shy and unassuming little girl, the type of cat that is happy to sit next to you on the couch or hang out behind you, but does not need to be in your face or bother you for attention. She loves to be petted; especially chin rubs and back scritches (she is a champion at tail raises) but she doesn't care for being picked up, and hasn't mastered being a lap cat yet. She came to us from an overcrowded rural shelter in South Carolina, and spent the first month of her time with us under a bed. It took weeks to demonstrate to her that we weren't bad people. She is highly motivated by treats and pets, and is an incredibly sweet girl for a family who will give her a little patience to warm up. She *loves* other kitties, so would make a great second, third, fourth, fifth in a kitty-loving home. :)

Story
Loki is the nine-year old older half of a bonded pair. He is a big boy at approximately 16 lbs, long and lean. Don't let his lazy, laid back face fool you -- He has a playful and energetic side too. He was surrendered to a NYC shelter when his person became homeless and began living in their car. He and his pal, Thor, were living in the car for a period of time as well. They are learning to adjust to home life again after homeless life and life in the shelter -- And we know that they deserve the absolute best. We are looking for a family who will spoil them and give them the best life during their golden years. Loki is a big, sweet, laid back guy. He loves scritches and pets. He is talkative and will tell you when he wants attention or snacks. He is definitely a bed cat, though he is just as home on basically any flat surface. He is shy at first but warms up quickly. He loves firm pets and chin scratches. He is fully up to date on his vaccines, neutered, and microchipped.

Story
Thor is the eight-year old younger half of a bonded pair. He is approximately 11 lbs, stockier and sturdier than his brother. He has big, bright eyes and an expressive face. He isn't afraid to tell you what he's thinking -- He's vocal, and uses his tail to express himself. He was surrendered to a NYC shelter when his person became homeless and began living in their car. He and his pal, Loki, were living in the car for a period of time as well. They are learning to adjust to home life again after homeless life and life in the shelter -- And we know that they deserve the absolute best. We are looking for a family who will spoil them and give them the best life during their golden years. Thor likes to be up high; he is a climber and loves to know there's a safe spot for him to go if things get intense. He is a super friendly, rubs-and-purrs machine who loves a good cuddle. He is very food motivated and will surely remind you if you forget to feed him at any point ever. He is fully up to date on his vaccines, neutered, and microchipped.

Story
Fancy Clancy is an incredible cat. He survived life as a stray on the mean streets of Albany, and all he has to show for it is an FIV+ diagnosis. FIV is not a death sentence for cats, however it does mean his adopter will need to be FIV-savvy and mindful of his specific needs. Clancy is otherwise beautiful and healthy and eager to go to a loving home where he can be loved and spoiled. Clancy should go into a home where he is an only cat, into a home where the other cats are FIV+, or into a home where the people in the home are FIV-savvy and understand what it means to have an FIV+ cat. We do not believe FIV is a scary word, and are happy to educate potential adopters on the ins and outs of this diagnosis. :) Clancy is a super sweet, cuddly, affectionate kitty with a lot of love to give. He is making up for his life on the street by living up his days inside. He loves to be spoiled with treats and wet food. He is a chatty, talkative kitty who will remind you if you have forgotten to feed him or pet him. :) We love Clancy and we think you will too!

Story
Hi! My name is Roswell and I am a Spirit Cat. This means I can be a bit shy or nervous and I appreciate the company of cats more than humans. An adult only, experienced home with other cats would be ideal for me! Since I am shy, I would like to go to a home with an experienced cat owner. I love relaxing in my hidey tube with my Spirit Cat friends, and if you give me space I'll peek out and watch you while we hang.Even though I am not super into cuddles, I will still make a great companion and maybe we can even do some birdwatching together!

These pups are in Troy, New York too!
