Orange you glad that I’m a cute lil kitty!? I personally think I’m more oranges and cream, but I’ll happily be just orange! If I were to say what kind of orange, I would say I would be more of a sweeter one than a tangy one! I think I’ll make a great addition to your orange bowl at home!

Story
This lil cutie is none other than Shmi! They are our unofficial door greeter of the cat room. Always welcoming us when we enter. They will come over and insist on being tipped in strictly pets and cuddles. They sometimes will also accept a good play session. While people and other kitties are accepted through her door, dogs are a different story. They have an unofficial “No Dogs” Policy that we happily accept. If you would like your very own house greeter, look no further! Come stop by and get greeted by the one and only Shmi!Shmi doesn’t work the doors by herself! She comes along with her cat bestie Anakin!

Story
Teavana here is a special kitty cat. We don’t mean that she’s a bad cat or a mess, she’s just got a couple quirks (Mean who doesn’t!?). She can be a little nervous at first meeting you, but she just needs to check the vibe first. Once they warm up, oh goodness do you have a cat best friend forever! She will insist on head scratches all day long, wish for play sessions, and even drink water from the sink if you’re using it! She LOVES food, and we mean LOVES food. There’s not any type of food they wouldn’t eat from us! Just be aware they do like to eat a bit fast, but who can blame her when it tastes so good! If you think you’d like a cat BFF, drop us an email at wchsadopt@gmail.com!

Story
Cookie came in when his owner could no longer have him. He has lived with children and has done well but he has not lived with dogs or other cats. Meet Cookie, a sweet, curious, mellow, and slightly goofy cat with a magical tale. Once, Cookie lived in a mystical world where pets ruled. He was a wise sage, loved for his kindness. One day, he discovered a portal to our world. His adventurous spirit took over, and he stepped through. Now, he's here, seeking a human companion. Cookie is a lap lover, but he also enjoys a good petting session. His love for scratching posts is unparalleled. Adopt Cookie and let his magic fill your life with joy.Stop by and meet this sweetie today!Upon arrival, a routine blood test showed a positive result for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) in Cookie. FIV is a virus that causes a weakening of the cat's immune system. There is no cure or treatment for FIV. FIV+ cats can live a normal life, both in quality and duration, but routine preventative care will be important since they are immune-compromised. FIV can be transmitted to other cats at birth, or through deep bites/scratches during fighting. It is not contagious to people or dogs. Since FIV can be transmitted to other cats, any positive cats should be very carefully and gradually introduced to any households with FIV negative cats to minimize the risk of transmission, or live either as the only cat or with other FIV+ cats.Find more info about FIV here: https://resources.bestfriends.org/article/fiv-cats-faqs-feline-immunodeficiency-virus.Cookie's adoption fee is WAIVED for his new family!!

Story
Meet Brady, the Super Cat. Once a street wanderer, Brady stumbled upon a mysterious wand. Touching it, she gained superpowers! She used her newfound abilities to help those around her, becoming a local hero. One day, a villain tried to steal the wand. In a heroic battle, Brady defended it, but in the aftermath, she found herself in a shelter. Despite losing her freedom, Brady remained positive, her mellow and friendly nature shining through. She still enjoys the thrill of 'battle' with her favorite wand toy and loves attention. Adopt Brady, not just a cat, but a superhero!Upon arrival, a routine blood test showed a positive result for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). The lifespan of an infected FeLV cat is typically 1-3 years after infection. Cats with FeLV may not show obvious symptoms for a period of time, but there is no cure, and treatment can only manage symptoms of illness when the animal becomes symptomatic. When a FeLV positive cat begins to show health decline or deterioration of condition, humane euthanasia is recommended. FeLV can be contagious to other cats through bodily fluids and prolonged contact. It is recommended that FeLV positive cats live as an only cat or with other confirmed positive cats. FeLV is not contagious to people or dogs. Positive cats will have a weakened immune system, and it will be important that they remain housed indoors only and receive preventative care. A confirmation test has not been performed at this time. An adopter may consider having a repeat test performed in 2-6 months with their primary veterinarian to confirm a true positive result.Brady spent some time in foster care for our annual Home for the Holidays program and her foster family described her as lazy and cuddly!! She likes catnip and "simple toys", snuggling, sleeping, and cleaning herself!! She is "very sweet" and loved scratching posts!!Brady's adoption fee is WAIVED for her new family!

They are very attached to each other as she thinks she the mama and he allows her to be. Combined price for both is $500. She is a sweet girl and has a mild demeanor. Adi loves to be loved and talked to and she will talk back with you. She takes advantage of laps especially at night while watching tv and makes bread and she has the loudest purr. Adi knows her name and comes when called. They both wrestle, chase each other and take naps together and her favorite spot in the house is soaking up the sunshine. She is accustomed to a harness, but with my health issue, I have not been able to take her outside or playtime w/ her. Adi is a very good girl w a lovely attitude and has no issues in the house. Adi has no problems with litter box open or covered. All their toys, food, dishes and water fountain go with them.
