Story
Meet Brady, the Super Cat. Once a street wanderer, Brady stumbled upon a mysterious wand. Touching it, she gained superpowers! She used her newfound abilities to help those around her, becoming a local hero. One day, a villain tried to steal the wand. In a heroic battle, Brady defended it, but in the aftermath, she found herself in a shelter. Despite losing her freedom, Brady remained positive, her mellow and friendly nature shining through. She still enjoys the thrill of 'battle' with her favorite wand toy and loves attention. Adopt Brady, not just a cat, but a superhero!Upon arrival, a routine blood test showed a positive result for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). The lifespan of an infected FeLV cat is typically 1-3 years after infection. Cats with FeLV may not show obvious symptoms for a period of time, but there is no cure, and treatment can only manage symptoms of illness when the animal becomes symptomatic. When a FeLV positive cat begins to show health decline or deterioration of condition, humane euthanasia is recommended. FeLV can be contagious to other cats through bodily fluids and prolonged contact. It is recommended that FeLV positive cats live as an only cat or with other confirmed positive cats. FeLV is not contagious to people or dogs. Positive cats will have a weakened immune system, and it will be important that they remain housed indoors only and receive preventative care. A confirmation test has not been performed at this time. An adopter may consider having a repeat test performed in 2-6 months with their primary veterinarian to confirm a true positive result.Brady spent some time in foster care for our annual Home for the Holidays program and her foster family described her as lazy and cuddly!! She likes catnip and "simple toys", snuggling, sleeping, and cleaning herself!! She is "very sweet" and loved scratching posts!!Brady's adoption fee is WAIVED for her new family!

Story
Meet Josie! Josie arrived to THS as a sick and injured stray. Now this little gal is feeling better and ready to find her furrever home!Josie has spent several weeks in foster care so she can work on learning to trust people. Over time, we have finally begun to see Josie's personality and she is learning that being a housecat has some really great perks! This is what her foster has to say about her: "Josie has started playing on the floor on her own with little cat toys and she really loves drinking out of the cat fountain. Her favorite game is playing with the round ball in the track toy. Josie has figured out how to work a treat dispenser. Check out the video of her- she is so sweet! She just loves sitting on the cat tree looking out the window and that is where she spends the majority of her time. She is a very docile and calm girl who would thrive in a relaxed environment where she can spend her time lounging around and sleeping in front of a window. She has gained quite a bit of confidence by interacting with my laid-back older cats, and would really love to go to a home with another mellow feline." I love to have my head petted. I will purr for you. I love treats.Interested in giving this lovely lady a forever home? Stop by and meet her today!!
