Story
Meet Stella, our resident senior feline who exudes a mellow and independent spirit. She's the kind of cat who enjoys her solitude, often finding comfort in her own little hideaway spots. But don't be fooled, Stella knows how to appreciate a good company. She welcomes attention, but in her own unique way, on her own terms. This means she's perfect for those who respect boundaries and understand the value of personal space. Adopting Stella means welcoming a wise, seasoned companion who will share her calm energy with you, while also teaching you the beauty of quiet independence. She has previously lived and done well with another cat, and a dog. She may be able to live with older children who can respect her space and boundaries. Stella would love a home that can provide her with a lot of wet food snacks! She enjoys spending her nights looking out the window and spending her days curled up in a hiding place to sleep.Stop in and meet her today!

Story
Meet Brady, the Super Cat. Once a street wanderer, Brady stumbled upon a mysterious wand. Touching it, she gained superpowers! She used her newfound abilities to help those around her, becoming a local hero. One day, a villain tried to steal the wand. In a heroic battle, Brady defended it, but in the aftermath, she found herself in a shelter. Despite losing her freedom, Brady remained positive, her mellow and friendly nature shining through. She still enjoys the thrill of 'battle' with her favorite wand toy and loves attention. Adopt Brady, not just a cat, but a superhero!Upon arrival, a routine blood test showed a positive result for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). The lifespan of an infected FeLV cat is typically 1-3 years after infection. Cats with FeLV may not show obvious symptoms for a period of time, but there is no cure, and treatment can only manage symptoms of illness when the animal becomes symptomatic. When a FeLV positive cat begins to show health decline or deterioration of condition, humane euthanasia is recommended. FeLV can be contagious to other cats through bodily fluids and prolonged contact. It is recommended that FeLV positive cats live as an only cat or with other confirmed positive cats. FeLV is not contagious to people or dogs. Positive cats will have a weakened immune system, and it will be important that they remain housed indoors only and receive preventative care. A confirmation test has not been performed at this time. An adopter may consider having a repeat test performed in 2-6 months with their primary veterinarian to confirm a true positive result.Brady spent some time in foster care for our annual Home for the Holidays program and her foster family described her as lazy and cuddly!! She likes catnip and "simple toys", snuggling, sleeping, and cleaning herself!! She is "very sweet" and loved scratching posts!!Brady's adoption fee is WAIVED for her new family!

Meet Mrytle, the melodious mellow cat with a penchant for petting and a sweet disposition. She found her way to the shelter after a hilarious incident involving a tuna sandwich, a skateboard, and a startled mailman. Mrytle, ever the adventurous feline, decided to hitch a ride on the skateboard, aiming for the tuna sandwich in the mailman's bag. However, she ended up in our shelter instead, and has been serenading us with her vocal talents ever since. Adopt Mrytle and enjoy the soothing sounds of her purrs and the comforting warmth of her cuddles. She's the perfect companion for anyone seeking a serene and sweet-natured friend."Upon arrival, a routine blood test showed a positive result for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV).
