Story
Jeanne is our longest resident currently. She's been with us over a year and has had some challenges. She went into foster care since she doesn't get along with the other cats at the ARC but she didn't do any better there. She came back to us and we would love nothing more than to place her in a home with someone that is looking for a loving, affectionate cat but ideally no other cats in the home. She loves people and would make a great lapcat for someone that needs companionship after a long, hard day at the office. She is absolutely gorgeous!! You can meet Jeanne at The ARC 16 S Main St, Mt Gilead

Story
I mean I think I'm pretty magical but I don't know any tricks. Well unless you consider playing on cat trees, running like mad and chasing springs and balls all day long tricks of any kind?? I came to the HSofMC as an orphan last year and my siblings have all left for their new homes but I remain. It's okay I know that special family is out there just waiting for me to bring some Magic to their home. I'm fine with dogs, super outgoing, curious and playful. I was born in august of 2023 so not a year old yet. You can meet me at The ARC 16 S Main St, Mt Gilead. can't wait to meet you, Magic

Story
I was displaced from my home when my owner was found dead in her home by medics. It's been a trying time. I'm a bit stressed, still confused and really just want to go home. Since that's not a reality, I will settle for a fresh start in a new home with new hoomans. I miss my mom but I know she would want the best for me. I mostly need a space to decompress and just learn to be a cat again. It's been a rough road and I'm still a bit hesitant to let go. I'm a bit shy around other cats but should settle in well with housemates. Not dog tested. No small children. Would do best in a quiet home. Come meet me at the ARC at 16 S Main St Mt Gilead. Love, Peebles

Story
I was rescued after I was found living in a culvert pipe with one kitten. I'm incredibly graceful and extraordinarily beautiful. And humble! I get along with other cats. I have been exposed to dogs and should be fine in a dog home. I'm ready for a new start where I will never know homelessness again. I'm available at the ARC - 16 S Main St, Mt Gilead for meet and greets!! She is super loving and a total lapcat. Curious and outgoing. Hugs, Queen

Story
I am being showcased by the Humane Society of Morrow County to find me a permanent home. I arrived in October of 2023. I have been in foster care ever since. When I arrived, I was suffering from a prior fracture of my jaw that had already healed. It is unknown whether a person did this to me or it was an accident of some sort. I was found as a stray so any information about my condition is only speculation. Unfortunately, there was not much that could be done for me at that point, so my foster focused on getting my weight up and showing me that people were not so bad after all. In time I’ve blossomed into a loving and very affectionate girl. Here are my highlights: • I am a spayed female. • I am estimated to be an adult cat aged somewhere between 4-5 years old. I could be younger or older, it is difficult to determine my age • I have been wormed, negative tested for FLV/FIV and vaccinated with felovax and rabies vaccine. • I am microchipped. • I am good with people and other cats. I have not been dog tested but my caregivers think I will adjust fine in a home with dogs. • I am very loving and affectionate. I can eat hard food just fine, but I do have to take my time. I am considered a special needs kitty due to my jaw condition. There are no guarantees of how this might affect me down the road, but I assure you I have so much love to give in the meantime and just need a chance of a home that can give me a safe and loving place to be.

Story
I am being showcased by the Humane Society of Morrow County in an effort to find me a permanent home. I arrived in May of 2023 after being removed from a hoarding situation of an elderly couple. They tried their best to care for me and many of my siblings, but it was just too overwhelming. We were removed in order to save our lives, which surely would not have turned out well in the long run. I’m ready for a new start now! I suffered some sort of trauma to my eye prior to being rescued. I most likely do not have sight in it and a veterinarian determined that it does not need to come out nor does it bother me. Sometimes it does get a bit goopy but a soft warm cloth fixes it right up! Some think it just makes me extra special. Here are my highlights: • I am a neutered male. • I was born in the Spring of 2023 • I have been wormed, negative tested for FLV/FIV and vaccinated with felovax and rabies vaccine. • I am microchipped. • I am good with people and other cats. I have not been dog tested but my caregivers think I will adjust fine in a home with dogs. • I am shy and reserved, but my heart is huge and I have so much love to give
