Everyone, meet Mr. Johnny.Johnny and his rugged good looks has been with us for nearly a whole year now! As we are approaching his year anniversary, we are still diligently looking for his well-deserved happily ever after.Johnny came to us as a stray as part of our very first TNR event we held within the community. We knew this handsome man and his friendly attitude hadn't always lived his life on the streets. We also know we couldn't let him go back out to try and fend for himself, so he rode back with out directors and joined the FDHS crew. Upon arrival, Johnny tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus aka "FIV". Although this diagnosis ,might seem intimidating, he's truly a happy and heathy cat with plenty of his 9 lives ahead of him. He's just a little ore susceptible to illness and needs a strictly indoor home. Johnny needs to go to a home as the only cat or with another FIV+ kitty. He does NOT do well with dogs and has tried to take on canines multiple times his size. He's fearless and is not convinced he isn't a jungle cat. If you're looking for a king to manage your castle, please look no further! He's got office experience and loves to boss anyone and everyone around. Need help with your time management? Don't worry! Johnny's a man of routine and will remind you of breakfast, lunch, snack , (another snack), and dinner time. He also has an eye for interior decor and may try to rearrange your rugs. Helpful annnnd handsome!In all seriousness, Johnny is a really great cat and deserves the best home. We love him so much and know that he's going to bring many years on entertainment, happiness and unconditional love to the right family.

This terrific tabby girl is Befana!Befana has been hanging out with us for a few months now and is still looking for her purr-fect match! Befana was dumped on our doorstep on Christmas morning with a litter of kittens in tow. She was an excellent mom to her babies who all have found their own families and has been patiently waiting for her turn. She does great with all the other kitties she has shared her space with and has been a source of comfort for all the new and scared residents. Because of this, we think she would be happiest in a home with other cats. As for dogs? She hasn't been terribly bothered by the sounds and smells of her canine neighbors. Befana is not a cat that loves to be held or picked up until she's comfortable with you. She's real big on consent! So she might not be the best choice for a home with very small children.She is truly a diamond in the rough and we know that she's going to give so much love to her future family!**Spayed, FIV/FeLV negative, and UTD on vaccines & monthly prevention**

This cubby-cheeked cutie is Mr. Dale! Dale was brought to us several weeks ago after being found as a stray in Ney, OH. To everyone's surprise, Dale did not end up getting reclaimed! We figured with how friendly and well-socialized that he was that he would have certainly been someone's companion.Dale has been soaking up all the love from our staff in the time that he's been with us and has been living the good life. He's made several friends in his cat room and is happiest when he's lounging in a bed with a full tummy. Dale loves to pick a favorite spot and stay there (right now it’s a round bed)! This beautiful girl is Sprinkles! Sprinkles joined the FDHS crew nearly two months ago when she came to us in pretty rough shape. She was thin, wounded and feeling pretty sick. Our veterinarians estimated her to be about 8 years old and after some testing also found that she has FIV.Sprinkles has been on a few different medications since her arrival and has already made significant progress in her health. We are confident that her condition can be managed and she still has a few golden years left on this planet.For being such a little cat with the odds stacked against her, Sprinkles has always been the sweetest thing. Even at her worst- her purr motor remained strong and her personality was always upbeat. We have all fallen in love with her toothless smile and her big heart.Being an FIV+ kitty means that Sprinkles is more susceptible to illness and must live strictly indoors. We tried bunking her up with our other available FIV+ resident- but Sprinkles made it clear she prefers a solo lifestyle.Sprinkles is looking for a quiet, loving home that's willing to give an older cat a chance at a happily ever after.
