Story
Paisley is a wonderful young girl looking for a loving and lasting forever home. She was adopted previously but then found as a stray. Her adoptive owner did not care for her or want her back when she was found. While out on her own, we believe that Paisley had a run in with another stray cat with feline AIDS (feline FIV). When Paisley came back into our care, she tested positive for FIV. Paisley is approximately 2 years old with a petite frame. In fact, her rescuer thought she might be a kitten but the vet estimated her age as 2 years old. Paisley is very sweet with a friendly demeanor and is very affectionate and talkative. She likes to “head bump” a lot and rub up against your legs. She enjoys being petted and purrs when she eats. She also kneads frequently when you love on her. Please don’t let Paisley’s FIV status deter you. Cats with FIV can live normal, health lives just like other cats. Paisley is currently doing great now that she is in a caring foster home. She should not be in a home with other non-FIV cats but can be with other cats with FIV. Paisley wants nothing more than to be loved and have a good home. We know the home that Paisley finds will be just as grateful to have her as Paisley will be to live there. All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax). Adoption fees are: Baby (Kittens up to 1 year) = $125 Young & Adult (1-7 years) = $100 Seniors (8+ years) = $80 Please also read our Core Values prior to applying, www.furryfriendsnetwork.com/adopt/our-expectations. If you are interested in adopting a cat(s), we ask that you complete an on-line adoption application to get the process started. To apply, simply go to www.furryfriendsnetwork.com / Adopt a Furry Friend / Adoption Application. You will receive a welcome email once your application has been assigned to a volunteer processor (this should be within 72 hours of submitting an application). If you do not receive such an email, contact catapplication@furryfriendsnetwork.com. Once your application has been processed (this can take approx. 10-14 days), we will arrange contact with the foster to schedule a time to meet cats you might be interested in. We are an all-volunteer organization and appreciate your patience during this process. Foster Homes are needed in order to help more animals like this one. Please consider opening your heart and home to a homeless animal. Check out our website on how to become a Foster Parent! Visit www.furryfriendsnetwork.com and look under Foster a Furry Friend. Story
Approx DOB: August 2016 Katie was rescued as a small kitten from being outdoors on her own. She has lots of energy and loves to play. She will happily play with wands toys or bouncing types of toys with her family but is also very good at entertaining herself. She likes to be with people and, once acclimated, will happily follow her family around the house and curl up on the couch while they watch TV. Katie is scared of new situations or new people and takes some time to get used to these changes. Katie needs someone who will patiently remind her of good behaviors and help her get acclimated to her new home. The investment in this little beauty is worth it! All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Story
Approx DOB: June 2017 Marcus (ID#20026) came to Furry Friends Network as a stray. It was a really good thing he was found too, as it was discovered shortly after taking him in, that Marcus is deaf. While this does make him a bit unusual, it does not slow him down in the least! Marcus is extremely playful and even wears his foster mom out. He loves chasing wands, any kind will do! When he’s had his fill of playtime, Marcus will grab a bite to eat and then settle down in a cat bed in the sun for a good long nap. He especially enjoys a comfy blanket in the bed with him. Recently Marcus has begun to voice his opinion a bit. When he first came to his foster home, he would open his mouth but no sound would come out. After years of trying, he has finally accomplished a meow that he can be proud of! Due to Marcus’s condition, he would do best in a home with a seasoned cat lover and where there are no small children. Marcus enjoys being with other cats and would do well with a younger kitty whom he could play with. All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Story
Approx DOB: September 2018 Toni is a loving and sweet girl who enjoys the simple things in life. She loves nothing more than playing and then spending time gazing out windows at the outside world. Toni would prefer another cat friend to play with her. She also gets along with quiet dogs – she prefers to just watch them from the staircase. Toni is often the first one in bed at night and will keep you company while you fall asleep. She won’t stay there though but will come back in the morning. Toni has the softest fur and loves being petted. She would also prefer a home without small children. Story
Approx DOB: March 2019 Hi my name is Maggie (ID#20108). I’m 2 and 1/2 years old and I’ve already raised my family of four and am ready to find my forever human home. I enjoy bird and rabbit watching on my screened in patio and totally enjoy my naps in the dog toy basket. I tolerate my resident canines but in no way consider them friends! I enjoy wand play and lasers. I don’t like lap naps but I do sleep in my fosters’ bed with them and enjoy a few TV programs. I like to be carried over the shoulder and I am in no way a baby so don’t hold me like one! I am feisty and have that fun personality. I get along with my fellow felines and thoroughly enjoy sneak attacking them. I doubt I would tolerate small humans but older humans that like that spunky personality, I’m your gal! Check me out and you won’t be disappointed! All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Story
Approx DOB: July 2018 Yep, that’s me! On top of the medicine cabinet! I was playing hide & seek! Here’s my story… Chloey was born as an outside cat in July of 2018. She lived outdoors only up until a few weeks ago. She had disappeared over the winter, returned emaciated, then her caretaker brought her in. However, the resident cat did not accept her. On top of that, she was bullied outside by her littermates. Surprisingly, Chloey has adapted well to indoor life. She is gentle, very affectionate, and a cuddler. She allows her foster mom to brush her and trim her nails! She has a great PURR-sonality! She even purred while getting her shots at the vet! Chloey likes to stay under the bed or couch for most of the day, but she will come out on her own terms and jump on your lap. Chloey is so lovey dovey it was difficult to snap a picture of her as she kept rubbing against me and all the photos turned out blurry! Chloey has been given a second chance to have a warm, safe life. Will it be in YOUR home? All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. MISS KITTY IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED! Miss Kitty is super fun to watch as she zooms back and forth and then snuggles up for a nap. After warming up to you, she loves to talk to you, wind around your legs, and get pets.  She would love a gentle male kitty and/or a super friendly dog to be friends with since she likes to play and then nap. She would do best in an adult home. They have been spayed, had all age appropriate vaccines, microchip, and a confirmed NEGATIVE FIV/FeLV test. Her adoption fee of $265 includes the transport to PA.  We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring her up north to her adopted family. If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website and complete an online application using this link: http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net.   Once your application is received and processed you will be contacted by an NBAR Volunteer.
