Story
Birthday: September 7, 2019 If you want to talk about a kitty-lover, no human alive can even come close when you compare them to Kandy!  This girl is a cat girl!  She always has been even when she was a stray!  Kandy was rescued when she was about a year old while she was wandering around Harrisburg during the summer of 2020.  Little did her rescuers know that they didn't just rescue one kitty; they rescued 4!  That's right!  Little Kandy was pregnant with kittens!  Thankfully, they were delivered safely to the delight of their mother.  She was incredibly attentive mama who didn't let them out of her sight!  Once they were all adopted, Skitzer decided it was her turn to find a family! It wasn't easy initially!  The poor girl was very skittish around humans initially.  It took about a year for her foster parents to show her that humans aren't all scary!  Once she became used to them, she began to show them a bit of love too!  It went from hiding behind furniture to being held like a baby!  Maybe not for the longest periods, but she loved every second of it!  She'll only blossom more if she finds a home with people who are interested in socializing her and make her feel safe! However, NOTHING compares to her love for her brethren!  She somehow managed to develop a friendship with other kitties in her foster home though mutual grooming and cuddling!  She may even warm up in her future family home if they have a kitty buddy for her!  Don't worry though!  She's one of the most passive cats you've ever see, and if there is already a "top dog" in the house, she will be submissive towards them. Special kitties and the people who love them deserve special treatment. That’s why Kandy has a watercolor portrait which will be given as our gift to the special person who adopts her.  Kandy’s adoption donation is $115 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing (negative) , spay and microchip.  If you would like more information on Kandy, please contact Jamie at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. If you would like to fill out an online application, please visit https://alovingcarecatrescue.org/adoptionapplicationonline.html Please note:  LCCR does not allow our adopted cats and kittens to be declawed.  All adopted kitties are to be kept as indoor-only pets.If you are interested in adopting this kitty, please fill out the online application at https://alovingcarecatrescue.org/adoptionapplication.html May 2, 2024, 10:17 am

Story
Birthday: May 10, 2021 One can only compare Petula to that of a flower.  She's a gentle, beautiful being that only attracts people to her.  Though she is a shy and timid girl. you can tell that with enough time and patience that she has the capability to become so much more than that! Petula was found in the streets alongside her mother, Esmae.  They were part of a TNR project, and the trappers discovered that Esmae was still nursing little Petula.  Since they didn't want to spay her while she was still nursing, the trappers made the decision to send the pair to LCCR in the hopes of finding families.  When the two arrived, they were both scared of the new environment.  However, after witnessing her mother stating, "There is NO WAY we are going back out there!" Petula knew that this was the best option for them!  Petula's mother would care for her as well as other kitties who didn't have a mother to care for them.  She knew that if she ever found a family, she would hope she would be the only cat.  She may have gotten along with some of her foster siblings, but she prefers to walk at her own pace. Though she is a bit shy and timid around humans, we believe that Petula is more than capable of becoming a great kitty for someone.  Why do you ask?  Well, there are a few reasons!  For one, this girl is incredibly smart!  Her name might be Petula, but she knows her nickname, Bee-Bee!  She will acknowledge that you are calling for her!  Second, she knows how to hold a conversation!  She may not inherited the talkative nature from her mother, but she will try and make an effort to ask how you are doing!  Three, she's sweeter than sugar!  There isn't a mean bone in her body, and she's more than happy to share it with you if you give her the chance!  Though she might be scared of new people, she doesn't run and hide.  She wants to give them a chance!  Petula enjoys the quiet life, but really, if you were raised in a place where there's nothing but kitties wanting to play, you might treasure the peace and quiet once in awhile too!   Petula's adoption donation is $115 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay. If you would like more information on Petula, please contact Robin at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.•Lewistown, PA• Meet Angelica!! Angelica came to ODAAT after being abandoned in an apartment. She lost some of her fur, had a terrible skin reaction due to fleas, and was underweight due to her living conditions. We are happy to report that she was nursed back to health in her foster home and her fur is now growing back! Angelica is a slow girl to warm up to people. She sits back and observes before approaching a stranger. Angelica attaches herself to one person and then will learn to trust everyone else. She is a funny girl that demands attention as she wants. Angelica lives in a house with other cats and dogs. She would just rather stick with her person. Angelica loves to play with water bottle caps and can hear them being set down in another room. She also loves to play with toys that make any kind of noise. When Angelica plays with you, she will bat at you without exposing her claws and she packs a punch lol. A home with no children would be best for her as she seems to be afraid of younger children. She is a cuddler and loves to give kisses. Angelica will pick her special spots to hang out and she claims them. If your favorite spot on the couch is what she claims, then get ready to relocate lol. Angelica is litter trained, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.•Duncannon PA• Theodore is the sweetest boy. He’s a little over a year old and definitely loves to play! He plays with his brother and sister chasing them and rolling all around. He loves exploring and loves his cat tree/scratcher. He will lay on the cat tree and just snooze away after playing. He likes to play with balls that make noise and loves the laser! He likes interactive toys especially the toys that have a ball inside that he can bat around! Theodore loves his head scratched and getting pets. He is a talker and it’s the cutest thing. He lives with other cats and has lived with small and large breed dogs and was fine. Theodore will be your bestie for life. He would do well with another cat so he could have a playmate and to snuggle with or would also be fine with just his human. Theodore is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
