Story
Lincoln is a handsome gentleman with striking green eyes and the softest black coat. He is the definition of a “hang out and cuddle” kind of cat. This sweet boy isn’t complicated, he just wants to be near people and soak up your attention. Whether that means lounging beside you on the couch, draping himself over your shoulder, or curling up in a cozy bed nearby, Lincoln is happiest when he’s close. He has a calm, affectionate personality and would thrive in a home that appreciates a laid back companion who’s more into connection than chaos. If you’re looking for a loyal buddy to binge watch all your favorite shows, Lincoln is your guy! ADOPTION INFORMATION HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: 1. Story
Meet Ike! Ike and Turner are two bonded kitties that have always lived together, and would love to go home with each other. They would likely do well with other cats since they do so well with each other, and they did live with a smaller dog in the past so they have familiarity with dogs. They're both very gentle and sweet. If you are interested in Ike and Turner, please call us here at (401)846-8276. You are welcome to stop by our Animal Care and Adoption Center here in Middletown, RI to meet with them at any time. Feel free to visit our website, www.potterleague.org, for more information on adopting from us.

Story
Meet Alma 💛 Sweet Alma is ready to begin her next chapter! Alma came to us as a pregnant stray and safely delivered a litter of beautiful babies while in our care. She was a wonderful mama, and now that her kittens are growing up, it’s finally her turn to be someone’s baby. Because Alma came to us as a stray, we don’t know her past experiences with other animals or children. For that reason, slow and patient introductions to new people, pets, and environments will help her feel safe and comfortable. Given time and reassurance, she blossoms beautifully. Alma is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She absolutely loves pets, attention, and being near her people. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion who will happily soak up all the affection you have to give, Alma may be your perfect match. She’s been an amazing mama, now she deserves a forever home where she can be cherished. Come meet Alma and let her steal your heart! ⭐ If you’re interested in adopting, please fill out an adopter profile at www.parl.org/adopt and stop by during our open hours! ⭐

Story
Adoption Donation    $TBD       Located in RI    Age:   1 years old Weight:   lbs      Hello! I'm Abu (gray/white) and that's my brother Oba (black/white). We're looking for a new home. We are neutered and up-to-date. We haven't lived with other animals or kids. We are sweet bonded boys who like to cuddle. Our Mom is away alot for work, and is often away. She feels bad that and wants more for us. If you are interested in adopting us, please fill out an application on the website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for moreinformation.     Foster.Adopt.Repeat.2021@gmail.com   Please verify the location and readiness of this cat with us.  Because we save lives from various locations throughout the United States, some cats may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc.
