While we don’t know what his life was like before, we do know who he is now and he’s been nothing but sweet, gentle, and affectionate while in our care. He absolutely loves being pet and will happily soak up your attention. Because he came to us as a stray, we don’t have information about his history with children or other animals. Slow, thoughtful introductions would be recommended if there are other pets or kids in the home. Mongo is ready for a fresh start filled with comfort, love, and cozy spots to nap. At this time, he is comfortable and medically cleared to go home. We do recommend that his adopter establish care with a veterinarian to monitor his heart health and keep him feeling his best. Sylvester was an outdoor cat learning to be an indoor cat. He doesn't have much experience with humans so he will require his new human to understand that and let him go at his own pace. Sylvester would do best in an adult only environment. He would also love to be the only one in your life, so no other pets for him.

It cannot be passed to humans or dogs, and it rarely spreads to other cats except through deep, biting fights. ​Leo would be perfectly happy as an only cat or living with other non-aggressive, fixed cats. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
