Story
Is it a dog? Is it a bee? No! It's a Dog in a Bee Costume! Or, better known to us as a precious, shy, lady cat! This timid angel is looking for a quiet home with someone willing to spend some extra time and care to show her that the world isn't as scary as she thinks it is. She was originally found as a stray, so we don't know too much about her history. She does love cheek rubs and catnip, and is hoping someone will have the patience to let her snuggle with them. Dog in a Bee Costume has dental disease as well as early mammary cancer, and will need someone dedicated to her care moving forward. She is hoping the right person will come along to give her everything she deserves! Dog in a Bee Costume is part of our special adoption program. If you are interested in adopting her, please fill out an Adopter Profile at www.parl.org/adopt and email cwohlgemuth@parl.org for more information!

Story
Stardust and Ophelia are very sweet girls who are looking for a home together. They love to spend their time snuggling with each other. Stardust is happiest cuddling on her humans' lap and chest. Ophelia loves to play with cat teasers and laser toys. She is the more active of the two and is very curious. The girls are very dependent on each other and like to follow the other one around wherever they go. Stardust is less brave than her sister so she likes to watch Ophelia explore. Once Stardust gets over her shyness, she will be quick to join Ophelia in following their human around. They are very food motivated love a treat every now and then, which helps to bring out their personalities when in a new environment. The girls are sweet as pie and will love a home and family that will be gentle and caring to them as they acclimate into their new family. Stardust and Ophelia would prefer a quieter home without young children. They have been around dogs before, and are a little cautious, so a calmer dog with cat experience is preferred. A slow introduction is the key to making sure these girls feel comfortable as well. Stardust and Ophelia are both in foster, if you are interested in adopting them, please fill out an Adopter Profile at www.parl.org/adopt and email cwohlgemuth@parl.org for more information.

Story
Introducing Baby, the sweet and shy young feline searching for her forever home. At first meeting, Baby may appear reserved, but with patience and gentle interaction, her playful and affectionate nature begins to shine through. Baby adores interactive play sessions and is easily won over with tasty treats. Once she trusts you, she'll eagerly invite pets, but only after giving her consent, of course! With her gentle demeanor and growing confidence, Baby shows great potential to become a lap companion. While sudden noises may startle her, Baby's resilient spirit allows her to bounce back quickly. She may thrive in a home with another cat-friendly feline to keep her company. In consideration of her sensitive nature, Baby would probably do best in an adult only household, or with older children who can respect her need for space and quiet. If you are ready to welcome a delightful young cat into your life and provide her with the love and understanding she deserves, Baby might just be the perfect match for you! Please email Olivia at owarburton@rispca.com if you have any questions about Baby.

Story
Bonnie will be your best friend for scratching her back. She just loves that. She often can be found snuggled with her brother Simon after a play session. She will take a toy and play in her tunnel. So so cute She is spayed and UTD on shots. Just waiting for her forever home You may obtain an online application by logging on to CatAdoptionRI.org or by emailing catadoptionteam@aol.com. All of the cats and kittens are placed with the Rhode Island State mandated proof of spay or neuter. In order to take your new cat or kitten home with you, there must be an approved application prior to any placement. Application approval is usually within 24-48 hours. We, at CATS, are very proud of all of the cats and kittens that we help facilitate finding new forever homes, and work very hard to make sure they are happy, healthy and well socialized. Hard copy medical records accompany each cat and kitten. Each cat or kitten is completely vetted prior to their placed. The policy is that all of our cats and kittens will be placed spayed or neutered, tested for feline aids/leukemia, and have all age appropriate shots. There will not be any placement of any cat or kitten that has not been spayed or neutered first. There will be no exceptions. This means that there is less out of pocket costs for people who adopt a cat or kitten from us and you will be in 100% COMPLIANCE WITH THE SPAY/NEUTER LAW TOO!

Story
I am heartbroken to put Carlos up for adoption. He has been a wonderful companion for the last few years. He loves to come sit on his cat bed while I work or hang out in the kitchen while I clean. Or get his teeth flossed (I don’t know why he likes this, but he comes while I do my teeth and worries he won’t get his turn). My wife and I have recently had our first child and the change in routine and our need to keep him away from baby stuff has been too much of an adjustment for him. He’s normal ok with my wife and visitors, but this much disruption in his routine and territory has made him very anxious and scared. I would like to keep home together with his littermate (the other cat in the photos above), but I believe they would do ok without each other after some adjustment.
