Story
Vitaly is a large orange cat who lives for the simple pleasures: good food and cozy places to nap. He’s always tuned in when it’s mealtime and can usually be found curled up in the warmest, softest spot in the house. While he has a bit of classic orange-cat personality, he’s mostly a laid-back, lovable guy who enjoys comfort and a full bowl. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, ($25-125 +TAX) special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.

Story
Hello, my name is Melina 💕 I’m about 1½ years old and currently at Heartland, patiently waiting for my forever family to find me. I’m a sweet girl who truly loves being around my humans. I do best with adults and older children—little ones can be a bit scary for me—so slow, thoughtful introductions are the way to my heart. Once I feel safe, I’m an affectionate companion who enjoys being held, brushed, and snuggled close. I never turn down a good cuddle session! I’ve lived with both dogs and other cats. I do well with small dogs and can peacefully co-exist with other cats. I’m also fully litter box trained and have excellent manners. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving feline friend to enrich your life and share quiet, cozy moments with, I might be the perfect match for you. Come meet me in person—I’d love to get to know you. 😻

Story
Hi! I’m Meep 🖤🤍 I’m a handsome tuxedo kitten around 7 months old, and I’m ready to find my forever home here at Heartland. I’m a friendly boy who does great with dogs and enjoys spending time with my human friends, especially when it’s time for a good cuddle session. I’ve got that perfect kitten balance—happy to curl up close to you, but also full of playful energy when it’s time to chase toys or romp around with my dog pals. I’m fully litter box trained, so I’ve got my manners down. I haven’t met another cat yet, but with a slow introduction, who knows? I might make a new feline friend. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate addition to your home with a dash of playful fun, stop by Heartland and meet me in person. I can’t wait to meet you! 😺💙

Washington is an adorable 4-month-old kitten with a white coat accented by charming gray spots. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and off to a great start in life. Washington does well with other cats and would enjoy a home where he can have a feline friend to learn from and play alongside. Curious and playful, he’s ready to bring joy, energy, and plenty of smiles to his future family. If you’re looking to add a friendly young kitten to your home, Washington is ready to grow up by your side.
