Story
Persimmon is approximately 1-year-old of April 2023 whose shiny coal-black coat really stands out in a crowd!  He is a sweet-tempered and sensitive type who was scared of his new surroundings at first but within the span of 2-3 weeks, he was all over the house and coming around his foster mom for attention and scratches by his tail.  Lately, he has with the cold weather he has become quite the snuggle bug wanting to lay on his person's lap with his favorite foster sister almost every time she sits down.  He hasn’t been around dogs very much but I believe with a proper introduction of a friendly dog and lots of patience, it should not be a problem.  In addition, he gets along well with other cats both young and adults.  He would certainly enjoy a similar-aged or friendly adult cat to tussle with as he enjoys spirited playtime with his foster siblings, but he also plays independently quite well.  He comes to you litter box trained, neutered, FIV/FeLV negative, and with all age-appropriate vaccinations so contact Rock City Rescue to adopt this dashing young man!August 20, 2024, 12:05 am

Story
From her foster mom...her story : Born around the end of October 2023, this lovely lady has been with me for almost a year.  She was rescued from a field and lived briefly in a resident hotel room with an older lady that saved her from the woods but simply could not support her.  She was initially very scared to be in my home, in the foster kitty room, but she quickly bonded with another CCR foster cat, Leo, that is close to her age.  And they are still buddies!  It mystifies me why they are both still here?  Just look at Cookie’s beautiful black and white markings!  You almost want to take a bite out of her!  She certainly makes me crave my favorite cookies….Oreos!  I started calling her Cookie, good Cookie, and it stuck.  She is such a good Cookie.  She has never been sick.  She has never been aggressive.  She has never been a demanding type of cat.  She just sits back and chills.  She watches me when I enter the foster room, patiently waiting for her turn for some loving.  She immediately jumps up to the top shelf of the tower, to enable me to scratch her head.  She rolls over to let me scratch her belly.  She just wants and needs just a little attention.  You barely hear a peep out of Cookie.  She is happy watching the birds in the Crepe Myrtle trees, dreaming about one day catching them.  Cookie and Leo have what a call “an old married couple’s” relationship!  They are happy and grooming each other one moment, and walking in opposite directions the next!  Then they will suddenly chase each other up the wall tower, to the top wall-shelf!  That wall-shelf has become her favorite perch.  Cookie just sits back and chills.  It seems that her only stress for the day is picking where to nap!  Relax and chill.  Cookie will be a great cat for someone that wants a quiet companion.  Do you have an older parent that could use a “subtle” companion?  Or is that you?  A cat that does not get too rowdy?  A cat that does not scream for food?  A cat that needs little attention?  Lazy?  Perhaps.  Relaxed?  Low maintenance?  Definitely.  Cookie has seldom been without another cat.  She has always been with and tolerated many other fosters in the kitty room.  But I question just how special she would become if she was the only cat in the house?  She might become your shadow!  Your best buddy!  Your Good Cookie!  I know there is a perfect forever home out there for this kitty.  Is she the Cookie for you?  Please write to critter cavalry.Rescue, at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.  Please tell us where you live, city and state.  Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 2, 2025, 8:13 am

Story
My next door neighbors feral cat ran inside her house and had 5 kittens about five and a half weeks ago. Last night the mom cat bolted out an open door and abandoned her kittens. They are little and cute but my neighbor doesn’t know how to care for them and is looking for help. She doesn’t have the internet so I told her I would reach out to a few rescues today. Any help would be appreciated.  Email Critter Cavalry Rescue  to help change their life!!!! Ccrtennessee@gmail.com April 24, 2025, 3:21 pm

Story
Please contact Vivienne (viviennejames@comcast.net) for more information about this pet.Hi my name is Derrick.  I am an all black and slinky kitty, with a white mark on my chest- wide eyes and a long tail! I am very affectionate with my siblings.  I used to snuggle with them and clean them often! One of my brothers was adopted right after Christmas and the other one was adopted on January 20.  I miss them but am now ready to find my forever home.  Hopefully it will be with you.  I am food driven, love treats and a cozy spot on the couch or near the fireplace. I am a very social boy and I stay out and about the home but can still be a little scared of QUICK human contact.  You just have to go slow.  I do though follow my foster mom around! I like to know where she is and I love her attention.  If you are looking for a snuggle buddy for your kitty this I am your guy!  Derrick is neutered, current on all shots, FIV negative and microchipped.  To be considered for his forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net,  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Derrick is currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)November 3, 2024, 10:10 pm

Story
My name is Chiquita and my story is one that is being told over and over in our world today.  My former mom had to move so she could not take me with her and so she left me outside the assisted living place that she was renting.  I was terrified since I had always been an inside cat.  Her neighbor who is disabled and on a walker is a really nice lady and she looks out for the homeless cats in her area.  She called Critter Cavalry Rescue about me and begged them to take me in and help me find a loving inside home forever.  I was so relieved.  Living outside was terrifying for me and I cannot tell you how many thunderstorms and rain that I had to endure for the months I was left with no place to go but stay outside under the bushes or cars.  I am not safe and updated on my vetting and looking for that wonderful home to call my own.  Would you consider me?  I am under 5 years of age and I am really loving and sweet.  I have great indoor manners and I can even live with other cats  like I am doing now at the foster home.  Just contact my rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Critter Cavalry Rescue will get right back to you pronto!!! Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped.
