Story
Marie, Daisy, Nancy, & Gigi were adopted in early 2015 when my daughter lived in Hawaii. She became aware of the feral cat population living there & did her best to find loving homes for all of these cats. That's how she got them all. She fell in love with them & when her husband received orders to come back to the mainland (he was in the Navy) she brought them with her to their next duty station state-side. When our daughter marriage unfortunately ended, she & our grandson came to live with us in Nashville for the next 3 years. We already had 3 cats & a dog. while living with us, she did take care of the cats. When she got her own place the agreement was the cats stay with us temporary. Due to medical problems, this was not possible for her. We can not be caregivers long term. 7 cats is just too much for us in our retirement years & it's unlikely my daughter will be able to care for them in the future. Its a drain on our financial, emotional, & physical resources.

Story
Luna came to me in desperate need of a foster. She was nervous for a couple weeks then completely came out of her shell. She loves to cuddle and talk. She was declawed previously before she came to me which may cause issues for her in the future but she does well now. She's a very funny and loving cat!

Story
Hi! I'm Ida, and I am very excited to meet you! I'm a sweet, gentle girl who loves to be pet, cuddled, and played with. I enjoy exploring and love to jump and climb! I am super playful, and could play with my favorite string toys all day long. Nothing makes me happier than quality time with my favorite humans. If you're looking for a buddy who will be a loyal, fun, and adorable companion, I'm your girl! Until recently, I spent my whole life within a laboratory cage being poked and prodded. I never got to enjoy a chin scratch or the experience of a lazy day of sleeping by a window. Now I'm finally free! After everything I've been through, it can take me a few days to warm up to a new environment-- but once I do, I will be the most fun and friendly cat you've ever met. The humans who have met me refer to me as a little ray of sunshine, and say I'm pretty clever, too! I would love to find a home where I can have my own bed to curl up in and cat tree to jump on. After all my time being locked away, I am ready for all the love and attention a family can give me. I get along with all kinds of humans and am friendly with dogs. I would be happiest in a home with no other cats. If you are interested in adopting Ida, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/rescue/ and email us with questions: adopt@bfp.org. Location: Houston, TX

Story
Nancy was adopted in early 2015 when my daughter lived in Hawaii. While living there, she became aware of the feral cat population in the area and did her best to find loving homes for many kitties. She fell in love with all of them and brought them with her to her husband's next duty station state-side. When our daughter's marriage unfortunately ended, she and our grandson came to live with us in Nashville for the next 3 years. We already had 3 cats & a dog in addition to our daughter's cats so we ended up with quite a house full of animals. Due to medical problems, our daughter was not able to take her cats with her when she got a place of her own and it became too much for my husband and I to handle. We have found a good home for two of the cats and still need a loving home for Nancy as well as for Daisy. We love both these cats dearly and and desire to place them with people who will love and care for them. Please help us find a loving home for our cats.
