Story
Looking to add some feline fun to your life? We have just the kitten for you. Frodo is a grey tabby with silky soft fur, gorgeous golden eyes and the timing of a comedian. He loves to play (dog, cat, human, it doesn't matter) and can turn anything into a game. He would love another kitten his age as a playmate, but what he wants most of all is a person to share his love of life.

Be sure to read my FULL BIO all the way down to my vetting and how to apply. Not all sites will show the full bio, so if needed please go to www.rockersrescue.org and click on adoptable pets to be sure you are reading all details. The animals have multiple pictures to view. (on our site click "view more" under the main photo, or scroll to the bottom to see the rest.)  We are located around Shreveport, Louisiana and generally meet at PetSmart Shreveport, or Hollywood Feed Shreveport.     Kittens Born: Christmas Eve, Dec 24, 2023 Lovebug- . Female. White with black spots.  She was our most quaint and quiet baby of the bunch. Once her siblings were adopted she became more social but she can still be a bit independent. She is very good at the "smize" (smile with your eyes) or you can call it RBF. Whichever the case, she's adorable. Haha. Loves toys! Enjoys snuggles. Is getting use to the dog ...but the dog isnt deserving of snuggles yet. Good with other kitties and is around a 10yr old child.  Playful. She is still a bit of a "suckler" for comfort and may try to nurse on things. Like a baby wanting a paci. She may grow out of it though. Wanted to notate her quirk. One of her adopted siblings totes around stuffed animals, haha! They are an amusing bunch. Uses litter box. Enjoys kitty hammocks and couch lounging.  Family Story: Momma Val was found in a hotel going door to door greeting people! She was making friends. She ended up rescued by Bossier City Animal Control and later gave birth at the shelter. She had 5 babies but sadly 2 passed away. A rescue up north had tagged the family and they waited for weeks to go there. Unfortunately, they didnt pass the health certificate and they couldn't go. The kittens ended up sick and needed care. Our rescue goes weekly to help network the cats at the shelter, so in the end we decided the family would come under us!  We named our new Rockers babies Momma Val, Cupid, Truffle, and Lovebug. Our little Cupid ended up with a rare chest deformity and needing an extensive surgeon. We currently have the whole family with homes except cute little Lovebug.      Our pets have multiple pictures to view. On our main page, you may need to scroll down to see them. To see a videos of them playing, go to our facebook page reels. https://www.facebook.com/reel/1154565692379622  Medical: This kitten has had all rounds of vaccinations/booster vaccines. (Vets give 3-4 sets, each set being a certain amount of weeks apart.) Babies are too young for the rabies vaccine, so they usually get that at their spay neuter appointment which is explained below. Dewormed/ Negative fecal reading. Mom tested fiv/felv negative. On monthly flea/tick prevention. Treated for upper respiratory infection, tummy bug, and ringworm. When you adopt, you will get a folder with all of their medical records to bring to your vet.  Kitten will be microchipped. It is via Petlink and there are NO fees. It is a lifetime registration and our rescue will have already paid for it.  Spay/Neuter - We cover this fee with donations unless you wish to cover it or help out. Lovebug has an umbilical hernia so she will need to be spayed at our vet so that they can repair the umbilical hernia during the spay. This will be done when she is between 5-6 months of spay. No exceptions. We will schedule this appointment. The adopter will have to bring the kitten to the appointment. Timing can be worked out or we can help get them there if needed.  Note: We do not approve of declawing. So if you wish to do that, please do not apply. Keep in mind the financial needs for the kitten/cats. This kitten is also to be indoors only. If you want an outdoors or indoor/outdoor kitty let us know and we can direct you.    ADOPTION: $60 adoption donation for approved application. Our rescue spends a lot more than this fee on each life, but it is a way to help give back some to go towards the next life we help.  We are a 501c3 non profit that is 100% volunteer run. We function solely on donations from kind people. If you wish to donate more or continue following/supporting us over time, we would appreciate your continued love to help our organization save lives.  Adoption Process Summary: You apply. We will email or call if we have any questions. Upon app approval, we would schedule a day we all meet at PetSmart Shreveport or Hollywood Feed Shreveport. At that meet we would all make sure that you feel the pet is a good match for your home. If so, we run the adoption. You fill out our contract, pay your donation fee, and receive your folder with their medical records. You must bring a pet carrier to this appointment because your pet will go home with you that day if we all feel it is a great match. Woohoo!  We take your adoption picture and you head off with your new furry friend! We can often provide adoption coupons too!   HOW TO APPLY:  Go to  https://www.rockersrescue.org/info/adoption  and find the CAT APP. Please include as much about yourself as possible. Some people applying like to send an email with pictures of their home/pets/ or family. Email is rockersrescue@gmail.com  Our Rockers Rescue pets are currently in foster homes that help us save lives. When you choose to adopt from a rescue, you help open space for us to save another life in need. Thank you for considering adoption! Let us know if you have any questions. Story
This sweet, cuddly guy Steve was found at a gas station by my mother as a kitten when it came up to her crying repeatedly for food. She brought him to me to care for in the meantime. He was found very dirty and skinny, most likely abandoned by its mother. He is very social, loves to talk and cuddle whenever he can. Still very young, possibly between 6-10 weeks if I had to guess. I can’t keep him long term as I already have two other male cats and don’t have the space for any more sadly.

Story
I came to Pet Savers as a stray that lived under the house of a caring couple. They caught both me and Paula knowing that we would make great companions for someone. I'm taking a bit longer to get settled, so I may be more skittish than other cats here, but I am sweet when I get comfortable. I hope that I can find a home that will love me and be patient with me so that I can show how good I am. April 28, 2024, 11:27 am
