Story
Casper is a handsome, solid white, shorthair ( tail-less) cat that is for a CAT SAVVY individual! He's very intelligent and resourceful and has a lot of "outdoor stray" kitty skills! He was brought into a S. Carolina County shelter & never claimed. He is very athletic and requires a good amount of mental stimulation such as running around the house, climbing a kitty tree, playing with balls, stuffy toys, catnip mice and kitty game puzzles! He sometimes gets very rambunctious and he will mouth your hand a little bit, but he is a fresh and feisty boy not meaning any harm! He loves human companionship and seeks out human attention and affection. He is a gymnast for sure, curious and quick and he would most assuredly be a very good housemate that would keep your indoor premises free of rodents! Casper must remain an indoor cat, he enjoys sitting in the window to admire the view and watch the birds! He is a solid built boy, a very good eater and likes his kitty snacks! He will play with the interactive ring toy with the balls and also likes catnip mice, jingle balls and the bungee cord toy with the feathers! He will play with almost any toy, whether it be intended for cat or dog, and he is able to amuse himself for a long periods of time. He has a kitty bed that he enjoys, but he prefers to flip it over on top of himself and sleep underneath, peeping out and watching everything! He has accompanied me on trips via car to the stores (in a cat carry bag) and he is not easily frightened by outdoor noises. However, he is frightened by household noises such as window fans, vacuum cleaners, printers, etc... He has been working on adjusting to typical household noises and he is doing very well. He now enjoys watching some evening TV and has acclimated to the sounds that air conditioners & printers make, but he still doesn't care for the vacuum cleaner! Although he has tolerated the small dogs (very laid back dogs!) he does enjoy chasing them around in circles (& vise versa) but he has a tendency to play "rough". He has a tendency to play roughly with other cats. A home with no other pets would probably be best and someone that will continue being very patient with him! He is neutered, UTD on shots, microchipped!

Story
Beautiful Schnee ("Snow") is an affectionate and loving boy! He came to us via rescue, as his previous family surrendered him to a shelter. He is totally deaf and due to his handicap, he has some misunderstood behaviors. Firstly, he startles very easily if you approach him and he does not see you. In the past, he would turn around quickly with his paws and claws extended, ready to defend himself. He has built up a trust with us and knows that we have been compassionate, loving, and patient. He no longer does this with us. We hold him and hug him daily, and he has relaxed and has bonded with us. He is very affectionate and sweet natured, and loves making the "biscuits" in his comfy bed or on your bed as well! Also, he requires mental stimulation during the day that he takes in through his other senses. He enjoys being held and receiving scratches around his head, ears and under his chin and he will purr and purr happy to get all the attention! He has a small ball that lights up and flashes different colors and of course, it fascinates him! We have provided toys to him that move, have bright colors, and vibrate instead of making any noise. He very much enjoys sitting where he may stare out the window for hours, just watching birds and other wildlife in the meadow. At night, when it is dark and he does not see people walking around, he must feel isolated and he howls incessantly until he sees someone. He now wears a close fitting sweater or shirt all the time, and this makes him feel more secure and he howls a lot less. He has gotten along with a small, gentle Chihuahua, but we thinks it's best that he not have a dog in his home. He is okay with one other gentle cat and slow, proper, introductions would be needed. A home with no children (as his behaviors can be unpredictable) and low activity home is necessary. He wears a collar with tracking device in case (goodness forbid!) he should ever escape the house... as he would become very frightened an difficult to find. A very special home is necessary for this sweet, very special boy.

Story
Stuart and Ashton are 7-month-old bonded siblings who are looking for a loving home. We will only adopt them out as a pair! Ashton and his blind brother Stuart are very affectionate and playful together. Ashton is a sweet, silky black, laid-back little man. He enjoys being picked up and petted and purrs loudly. He has lots of fun playing with his brother. Stuart is a gorgeous little tabby tiger and a sweet baby boy. He loves being held in the crook of your arm and being carried around. You wouldn't know when you watched Stuart happily racing around, that he is nearly blind due to a congenital eye condition. His other senses are highly alert so that he gets around just as well as his seeing brother Ashton. It is amazing! Stuart is super playful and athletic. He loves wrestling with his brother and enjoys his toys very much. He likes to jump after fishing pole toys, sensing their movement in the air and hearing them swish. He also likes to climb on a cat tree and curl up in a cozy cave. Caring for a blind cat is easy, as long as one maintains a consistent, safe environment by keeping furniture and essential items like food, water, and litter boxes in the same place. You can visit these gorgeous boys at the Kingdom Animal Shelter on Saturdays from noon to 3pm. Please note that Kingdom Animal Shelter is not a 'same day' adoption shelter. Story
Storm and Ember are 6-year-old siblings who are looking for a new home. They are bonded and we will only adopt them out as a pair. Storm is a total lap-cat and a love-bug. Snuggling with people is one of his favorite things in life. He is a large, comfortable, light-gray tiger with plush fur. He is affectionate with his sister Ember who is a gorgeous, dark-brown tigress. Ember is a little shy, but very sweet when one approaches her gently. She loves to be petted and will look at you adoringly with her beautiful, bright-green eyes. Storm and Ember lost their home when their owner had to move due to water damage and couldn't find a place that would allow cats. Storm and Ember don't have experience with children, dogs, or other cats. They would be happy in a quieter household as the only pets, and they might do well with gentle, older children, and even with a laid-back cat-friendly dog.
