Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lucille is still learning to trust. The difference between Lucille and feral cats outside is that Lucille is exposed to indoor sounds, and can observe from her housemates how to interact and rely on humans for food and medical care if needed. we are fortunate that we have foster homes willing to give cats like Lucille the time needed to adapt and adjust to being loved. Lucille is truly a gorgeous color, and a lovely addition to her foster home… As long as her foster mom doesn’t reach for her or get closer than 3 to 4 feet away. We’re excited about the fact that she now allows us to see her at all, rather than hiding in a corner. We can’t wait till Lucille is friendly enough to find a home! Good morning to Lucille! We are so glad this seven month old has decided it’s OK to make herself less invisible and more visible to her foster mom anyway. Looking forward to her Continue socialization and her foster home individual adoption. She is very striking! She spent two months at the shelter, hiding in the corner of her cage the best she could. She’s really enjoying the opportunity to get out and explore. Sweet Lucille is still very shy but is enjoying the time her foster mom is giving her to become adjusted to her surroundings. Where the first week was spent hiding from foster mom, now she is slinking out for a quick check on the progress of lunch, and even sneaks a peek in public of the happenings around her. We continue to give her the needed time to adjust.   PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at FOACinfo@gmail.com. All adoptions begin with an application, found under the "Animals" tab on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 4, 2024, 11:29 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Poppy may be eight months old, but she is the diminutive size of a kitten. She has been in the care of a foster mom for two months, and is thriving, but we are not sure what her future holds.  She was spayed recently, and is recovering in the loving care of her foster mom, but she is available for adoption, as long as her adopter realizes she may be special needs and may have only limited time here on this earth.  No diagnosis has been made, but she exhibits symptoms of possible "dry FIP," which presents differently than the FIP we normally see. She may have years of life ahead of her, but she may have only months. We would love to find her a home where time is not as important as the love that she shows while she is here.   PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Senior cat TRIXIE lost her stable home when her beloved human mom passed away recently; it is so hard for families to make decisions about pets when they are dealing with personal grief. We are grateful to the family member who stepped forward to offer to foster shy Trixie so she could continue to be loved with someone familiar to her while we help Trixie find a new home.  Trixie is fully vetted.  She is twelve years old and has not lived with other cats.   Trixie prefers using pee pee pads to using a litter box, not because she has medical issues but just because. To adopt Trixie or any other pet, please start with an application: friendsofcampbellcounty.org     PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. Story
My ex adopted Moscato, white, & Merlot, black and gray (pictured in frame 3) when we lived together. She moved out and did not take the cats with her, and is not willing to take them with her. I have been caring for them, but will be moving soon and will not be able to bring the cats with me. Both cats are very sweet, and used to interacting with other animals, such as dogs. Moscato really enjoys tuna tubes, rubs, and will always find a spot on your chest for a nap. She may put up fuss for nail trims but is easily distracted with treats. She can be finicky about litter boxes. If it is not pristine she will find somewhere else for #2. Merlot, has no bathroom quirks, but nail trims are a hassle. Merlot is not as social as Moscato but will still let you rub her and pick her up. She is extremely comfortable with dogs, and has been caught sneaking into the dog crate for a nap. I would ideally like to keep both the cats together because they are comfortable with one another.

Story
Sweet cat he loves to sit and look out the window. Would keep them all but Dad passed away and had so many. He came from a very crowded house. I think Richard is one of the best and waiting to be spoiled in a new home. Loves other cats and small dogs. Doesn't like to be picked up much but loves to sit on your lap for cuddles. If you are interested in Richard, please contact Jennifer at (434) 229-0016 jenhartsweb@yahoo.com.
