Bobo came to us from another shelter so we don't have a lot of history about him, only that his previous owner passed away. So far he has been very shy and still adjusting but lets staff pet him and talk to him. Finally introducing these beauties! Zoey (aka Zo-Zos) and Mia (aka Mi Amor)! These lovely ladies were transferred to our rescue when their human went to a nursing home and could no longer care for them. Zoey is the black cat. She is super social and affectionate and with humans and loves to chase (bully) her sister around. She enjoys playing with toys. She has learned really good boundaries and gets a little testy when these are crossed or if she is meeting someone new. But she definitely keeps you on your toes. Mia is the tri color kitty. She is super sweet and also affectionate but in her own way. She loves chin scritches but does not like to be held, though wants to be around humans. She also drinks A TON of water but all of her health tests were normal so I’m not quite sure whats going on with her. They both had dental work done in January and we switched them to grain free food. They are both spayed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped. She loves the red laser pointer and will come running immediately when it's out. She is a little moody with other pets but can tolerate them. She would prefer a home with kids old enough to respect her space as needed although she slowly learns to trust that her boundaries will be respected. She sometimes seeks snuggles or a cozy nap. Odin is the sweetest, most tender cat. When I found Odie, he had been run over and I thought I was taking him to my vet to be euthanized. But, they thought there was a small possibility he could make it. So, I brought him home. He made it! He lived in my bathroom for a year. It took that amount of time to gain his trust. He has some slight mobility issues due to his accident. And fragile control over his bladder. As long as he feels safe and secure, he doesn’t have bladder issues. When he has anxiety, his bladder sphincter freezes up and he needs some extra care. It’s been a slow process helping him find his courage. I have a wild orange tabby that terrifies Odin. He wants to be friends but Walter (orange tabby) doesn’t know how to interact in a relaxed manner. It’s become clear that they are not going to integrate. Odie gets along with my dog, although he is pretty hyper and it stresses Odie out. So I believe he would do well with other calm animals. Or alone with a loving human.
