PUNKIN IS SEEKING A FOSTER TO ADOPT PLACEMENT!! Okay guys, we are officially down to the wire and Punkin needs to find a spot to land THIS WEEK! Punkin came to The Alliance as a kitty in need of medical assistance and a clean and safe home. She was surrendered after she was facing euthanasia at a local clinic due to urinating outside the litter box and needing a dental procedure. We quickly got her into our vet to run lab work. Her mouth was swollen due to dental infection, so she was put on antibiotics and pain medication. Her bloodwork looks beautiful and she was just cleared to have her dental procedure and then she will be officially adoptable! We are looking to get it scheduled very soon!  From day one with us, Punkin has been a picture perfect foster with taking medicine, using the litter box perfectly, and eating her meals. She requires wet paté food blended or mixed with warm water for her meals and her liquid pain meds twice a day until her dental procedure is complete. Her current foster is undergoing surgery NEXT WEEK and can no longer care for her, we would really love if the next place she lands is the last move she has to make. We are open to finding another foster home for her as well, but it would be really amazing if she didn’t have to bounce around any more than she already has.  Punkin is available as a foster-to-adopt, so that we can cover the cost of her dental care before she is officially adopted. Punkin is the sweetest and calmest cat who just wants to be pet as much as possible! She would fit best into a home with either no other animals or one other calm animal. She did previously live with a cat and a dog, but she is not a fan of quick and loud motions. For this reason, and her cautious nature, homes with energetic pets or kids would not be a good fit.  Punkin will come spayed, microchipped (including registration), dewormed, and up to date on vaccines. Her estimated birth date is 12/2016. She will be provided for until she can be cleared for adoption by The POUNCE Alliance, at which time her adoption fee will be $85.  ‍ We will provide food, litter, Punkin's bed, medication, and the dental procedure she requires before she is ready to be officially adopted. Please note that if approved for foster-to-adopt that one of our team members will be in contact with you regularly to stay on top of her care needs. Punkin’s dental procedure will need to be completed in Spokane, WA. ‍ Does Punkin sound like she could be a good fit for your home?  Please apply to foster or foster to adopt now!!  ##2300169##

Story
Smokey is ready for adoption!! This ultra handsome and debonair guy is ready to bring his larger than life personality into your home! Smokey joined The POUNCE Alliance after he was found wandering the streets in late November, at a time when the shelters were full and unable to bring him in.  He was microchipped, but sadly an owner never came forward for him.  A friend of Smokey’s finders took him in as he wasn’t getting along with the male cats in their home. They reached out to us and agreed to foster Smokey through POUNCE. It was clear that he was older and needed a full exam and work up. After he received care, we found out Smokey was in need of a dental care and was suffering from urinary crystals. After coming to The POUNCE Alliance, Smokey received necessary medical treatment for his urinary crystals by being put on a prescription diet, and received a dental to clean his teeth and remove ones that required extraction.  There was 10 teeth that needed extracted. He has been living in the loving home of his foster where he has been thriving and enjoying a life of comfort and care.  Smokey is a wonderful cat with a loving and engaging personality.  He absolutely loves his people, will enjoy snuggling up with you on your lap - especially if you have a cozy blanket for him to rest on - and sleeping next to you at night in your bed. Although Smokey is quiet at night, during the day he loves to carry on conversations with the humans around him and  will be your constant companion, following you from room to room.  He is very well mannered, respectful of countertops, doors, and has impeccable litter box manners. Smokey is confident and independent, enjoys head rubs but may be selective about being  petted on his tummy and body. He prefers to have human company during the day rather than be left alone for long periods of time, and will love to have a window to look out of during the day.  Smokey will want to have a cat tree or other things to satisfy his feline need to scratch. A few things to keep in mind as you consider Smokey for your companion: He will do best as the only animal in the home because he may not get along well with either cats or dogs. He has not done well in the past with other male cats, we don’t know how he would do with a female. He currently lives with two small dogs, but does get upset when they get in his bubble and will chase them off. For this reason, it’s likely ideal for him to find a home as the only pet or with one calm animal that keeps to themselves and doesn’t push his boundaries.  Due to his history of urinary crystals, Smokey will require being permanently on a prescription urinary diet.  He is currently eating Hill’s Prescription Diet C/D. As follow ups to his extractions upon intake, he will need annual exams to ensure that his mouth remains healthy, as any cat does!  If you are looking for a loving, engaging kitty companion who will be your snuggle buddy and constant side kick, then Smokey is the cat for you!   Transport is available to approved adopters throughout the PNW! If you are interested in adopting, please apply today!  ##2339025##

Story
Meet Lily! Introducing Lily, a charming black cat with striking white markings, and a personality that’s as delightful as her appearance! This silly girl knows how to bring joy to any room with her playful antics, but she also values her quiet time and independence.  Lily joined POUNCE in April of 2023 from our Burnett colony. Lily kept coming inside the feeders home and whenever she was put back outside she would cry at the door to come in. Clearly, Lily was telling us that outdoor life was not for her. Lucky for Lily, her foster parent decided to give her a shot at indoor life.  Lily enjoys a good romp with her toys, delighting in smacking them around and showcasing her playful side. However, she mostly prefers to keep to herself, relishing the moments when she can lounge on the back of the couch, surveying her kingdom in comfort. When she’s ready for affection, Lily will seek out pets and snuggles on her own terms, making those moments feel extra special. Due to her gentle nature, Lily would thrive in a serene environment, perhaps in a cozy home that resembles a library setting where she can enjoy peace and quiet. It might take her a little time to adjust to new surroundings, but with patience and love, she’ll reveal her sweet personality. If you’re looking for a lovely companion who appreciates both playtime and tranquility, Lily might just be the perfect fit for you. Open your heart and home to this delightful girl, and you’ll be rewarded with her unique charm and loving companionship! Lily is a younger adult, maybe around 2-3 years old. She comes spayed, dewormed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped (including registration). Her adoption fee is $85.  Transport is available to approved adopters throughout the PNW! Apply today to be considered to adopt Lily!  ##2323785##

**Meet Nemo: The Brave Tripawed with a Unique Spirit** Introducing Nemo, a beautiful white cat with soft grey markings and a heart full of resilience. This special tripod has a remarkable story that showcases his strength and adaptability. Nemo came to us from our friends at SCRAPS. He was part of a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program, but it was soon discovered that he wasn’t using one of his legs upon intake. After months of rehabilitation efforts that didn’t yield progress, the difficult decision was made to amputate his leg. SCRAPS reached out to us for placement assistance as they clearly couldn’t put him back out on the street with only 3 legs. We said “yes” to giving Nemo a chance.  Despite his challenges, Nemo has proven to be a survivor. He currently lives in a human home, where he coexists comfortably, but he is still considered feral. Nemo enjoys the company of other cats and has a curious, gentle nature. He loves to sniff his foster mom’s fingers and eagerly accepts tasty treats, showing that he is willing to connect on his own terms. However, he prefers to keep his distance—he’s not quite ready for pets or cuddles just yet. While Nemo has never bitten, he can express his feelings with a hiss if he becomes overwhelmed, and he may attempt to swat with his missing arm. This behavior is just his way of communicating when he needs space. Nemo would thrive in a warm and understanding environment, whether in a cozy home or a welcoming shop. He longs for a place to call his own, where he can feel safe and secure while continuing to grow at his own pace. If you have a soft spot for a brave little soul like Nemo and are ready to give him the love and space he needs, he might just be the perfect addition to your life! Nemo is a young adult likely between 2-4yrs old. He will come neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped (including registration). His adoption fee is $85.  Transport is available to approved adopters throughout the PNW! If you think you have a good home or indoor shop set up for Nemo to thrive, please apply today!  ##2339021##

Story
piggie is about 3 years old. his birthday is oct.17, 2022. he was slightly feral when i adopted him and was able to make him comfortable with humans. he grew up for the first two years with another cat and they got along pretty well. i got a dog about a year ago and piggie doesn't mind him but they don't get along very well. pig is very docile and sweet. loves to cuddle and play he will always greet you at the door! he loves to sleep up on my pillow at night. i unfortunately work way too much to be able to give him what i believe he deserves. he has began to seem very lonely and unhappy in our living conditions. i have two litter boxes for him and feed him on a schedule and he’s began to not use his litter box and go to the restroom in places he shouldn’t. i keep the litter boxes clean but he will still go on the floor and my bed. it’s very out of character and i think he needs to be placed in a home where he gets all the love and attention he needs. he is mostly an indoor cat.

Story
Our sweet boy needs to find a new loving home. Walley has been with us for 8 years and due to unforeseen circumstances we are having to relocate to a lot that does not allow more than 2 pets. We have 2 older pets that have been with us even longer and so we’re having to choose them. Walley is so sweet and loves to cuddle with his people. He also loves to play. He is currently an indoor/outdoor cat but is completely fine with staying indoors if needed. He loves to give kisses and take care of his doggy friends. If you think you could give him a loving home, please apply. Thank you! (I attached a Youtube video of Walley with a previous dog we fostered. He now does this with our Labradoodle).
