Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  **Charlie and Cody: Bonded Dachshund-Corgi Mix Brothers**   Charlie and Cody are gentle, reserved brothers, about 10 to 12 months old, both neutered. They were left at the shelter with their three sisters, and after being separated from them, the boys formed a strong bond. Now, they are affectionate and starting to enjoy life in the Pacific Northwest. They are gradually building trust with their foster family and getting used to their new home. Both are safe, well-fed, and comfortable. They are current on their vaccinations and have no known health issues, so they are ready for adoption. Their foster home does not have a fenced yard, and because Cody and Charlie are still settling in, they have not yet started using harnesses or going for walks on a leash. That training will begin soon. We hope the boys can be adopted together into a home with a fenced yard, so they have a safe place for potty breaks and can learn to walk on a harness and leash. Cody and Charlie might be shy at first, but they are curious and want to connect with people. They are motivated by food and will gladly take treats from your hand. They like being spoken to and respond well to a gentle voice. With time, patience, and love, they will become devoted companions. We prefer adopters who have experience with shy or untrained dogs, or who are open to guidance, to help the boys adjust smoothly to their new home. We do not know if they have been around children, so we recommend a home without kids or with children over 12. The Corgi-Dachshund mix, also known as a “Dorgi,” was first bred by Queen Elizabeth of the UK. Because they have a prey drive, they should not live with small animals or cats . **Adopting Cody and Charlie** To apply to adopt Cody and Charlie, please use the link below. One of our volunteers will review your application, follow up with you to ask questions, address any concerns, and see if you are a good match for these pups. If you are a match, the next step will be a meet-and-greet. Please use a computer to fill out the application, as tablets and cell phones may cause issues. The boys now eat a human-grade diet that avoids kibble and focuses on healthy, dog-specific food. We will teach their adopters about proper diet and nutrition. The adoption fee is $795 and includes neuter, all vaccines, and a microchip. www.rompinpawsrescue.com  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 29, 2026, 4:28 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mimi, Mimi is a sweet 6-month-old puppy weighing approximately 8 pounds.  Misty is extremely outgoing, yet shy when she first meets new people. She loves having doggie friends to play with, or a dog-savvy cat. Mimi loves to curl up in her foster's lap for warm naps and cuddle with her sister and foster siblings. She plays hard, chasing the other pups around the room, then crashes for a while to get up and run again. Typical sweet puppy antics!.  Mimi loves attention, following her person around the room, playing with the first foster dogs, and now with the second foster, she loves the cat. Mimi is up to date on vaccines, but is too young to be spayed.  Mimi is housebroken and is still learning to use the bathroom outdoors, as she was in an apartment for a while and used pee pads. Mimi is a quick learner and, with positive reinforcement, will be a joy to teach. Mimi and her two sibling and their mom were rescued when someone dumped them at an abandoned farm. Mom is a Papillon-Dachshund mix **Adopting Mimi** To apply to adopt Mimi, please use the link below. One of our volunteers will review your application and follow up with you to ask questions, address any concerns, and determine whether you are a good match for this pup. If a match is made, the next step will be a meet-and-greet. Please use a computer to complete the application, as tablets and cell phones may disrupt the process. Missy has transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble and focuses on a healthy, canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters on proper diet and nutrition.    The adoption fee for Mimi is $495 and includes puppy vaccines, rabies, and a microchip.   Mimi is too young to be spayed. Spaying can be done through Rompin Paws at a significant discount off vet prices, and this will be discussed with the adopters. Please use this link to apply to adopt     www.rompinpawsrescue.com   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 8, 2026, 11:19 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**Libby** Libby is a 17-pound, 1-year-old female Dachshund-Corgi mix. She was found with her sister, Lexxi, running with stray dogs that had been dumped in Fresno, California.  Libby is closely bonded to her sister, and we would love to find a forever home for them together. The ideal adopter(s) should be experienced with dogs and familiar with rescue situations, as both dogs are fearful of men. A supportive and caring environment is essential, especially if there is a male in the household. The male will need to be actively involved in feeding and caring for them to earn their trust, as they tend to trust women first. from their foster:  Libby (the tan one) is the outgoing sister—loyal, people-loving, and always ready to be your shadow. If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy, she’s a certified snuggle pro. She also walks nicely on a leash. These two adore each other, bring zero drama, and are impressively quiet—they’d make absolutely terrible guard dogs, but perfect companions. The girls are up to date on vaccines and need to be spayed. Rompin Paws can work with adopters to arrange a spay at our vet, or adopters can take them to their vet. The current adoption fee does not include spaying costs. This may be updated if they are spayed prior to adoption. These girls are young and can be trained to be lovely family members.  Their foster has begun working with them, providing harness and lead training, but they will require more work. We do recommend a child-free home because of their anxiety and trauma from being dumped. They need a calm, adult-only home. If you have the time, love, experience, and willingness to help these two sweet girls work through their trauma so they can become loving and loved family members, we would love to chat with you. We are open to a foster-to-adopt period, allowing ample time for potential adopters to work with Libby and get to know her. **Adopting Libby** To adopt Libby, please use the link below.
