Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED (He is currently in foster care) Meet Prince! Prince is a 3-year-old, 7-lb chiweenie with a gentle, loving personality. He’s a quiet, shy little guy who absolutely loves to be cuddled once he feels comfortable. Prince is crate trained and does not potty in his kennel. Prince gets along well with other dogs and would love a canine companion in the home. He is low-maintenance and easygoing. He’s apartment-friendly and would do best in a calm home with teens or adults (no young children) outside of the busy city. His ideal adopter is someone who is home often and wants a sweet, affectionate companion to give (and receive!) lots of love. Prince is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Ethel! Ethel is a 7-month-old, 12 lb Chihuahua/Pug mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This little lady may be small, but she has a big personality and an even bigger zest for life! Ethel is sweet, spunky, goofy, and full of playful puppy energy. She loves going on walks and little adventures with her people and is always ready to tag along wherever the fun is happening. She’s treat-motivated, eager to engage, and would thrive in a home that continues her training and socialization as she grows. She does great with people and other dogs and would absolutely love another playful pup in the home to romp around with. That said, she could also do well as an only dog as long as she continues getting regular socialization and enrichment. Ethel is the perfect mix of cuddly and adventurous — equally happy exploring the world or curling up after a fun day out. If you’re looking for a fun-sized best friend with a silly streak and a loving heart, Ethel might just be your girl! Ethel is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Felix! Felix is a 10-month-old, 11 lb Chiweenie with the cutest floppy ears and the sweetest little soul. This cuddly boy is still growing just a bit and has so much love to give! Felix can be shy at first and is still building his confidence, but underneath that timid exterior is a very sweet pup who wants to be brave. He loves being held and feels safest close to his people. Once he trusts you, his affectionate nature really shines. He does great with other dogs and will need a confident canine companion in his forever home to help him come out of his shell and show him the ropes. Having another dog gives him reassurance and helps him feel more secure in the world around him. Felix will thrive with patient, understanding adopters who have experience with shy dogs and are committed to helping him build confidence at his own pace. If you’re looking for a tender-hearted little companion who just needs a safe place to grow into his best self, Felix might be your perfect match! Felix is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and will be neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  **Charlie and Cody: Bonded Dachshund-Corgi Mix Brothers**   Charlie and Cody are gentle, reserved brothers, about 10 to 12 months old, both neutered. They were left at the shelter with their three sisters, and after being separated from them, the boys formed a strong bond. Now, they are affectionate and starting to enjoy life in the Pacific Northwest. They are gradually building trust with their foster family and getting used to their new home. Both are safe, well-fed, and comfortable. They are current on their vaccinations and have no known health issues, so they are ready for adoption. Their foster home does not have a fenced yard, and because Cody and Charlie are still settling in, they have not yet started using harnesses or going for walks on a leash. That training will begin soon. We hope the boys can be adopted together into a home with a fenced yard, so they have a safe place for potty breaks and can learn to walk on a harness and leash. Cody and Charlie might be shy at first, but they are curious and want to connect with people. They are motivated by food and will gladly take treats from your hand. They like being spoken to and respond well to a gentle voice. With time, patience, and love, they will become devoted companions. We prefer adopters who have experience with shy or untrained dogs, or who are open to guidance, to help the boys adjust smoothly to their new home. We do not know if they have been around children, so we recommend a home without kids or with children over 12. The Corgi-Dachshund mix, also known as a “Dorgi,” was first bred by Queen Elizabeth of the UK. Because they have a prey drive, they should not live with small animals or cats . **Adopting Cody and Charlie** To apply to adopt Cody and Charlie, please use the link below. One of our volunteers will review your application, follow up with you to ask questions, address any concerns, and see if you are a good match for these pups. If you are a match, the next step will be a meet-and-greet. Please use a computer to fill out the application, as tablets and cell phones may cause issues. The boys now eat a human-grade diet that avoids kibble and focuses on healthy, dog-specific food. We will teach their adopters about proper diet and nutrition. The adoption fee is $795 and includes neuter, all vaccines, and a microchip. www.rompinpawsrescue.com  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 29, 2026, 4:28 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**Libby** Libby is a 17-pound, 1-year-old female Dachshund-Corgi mix. She was found with her sister, Lexxi, running with stray dogs that had been dumped in Fresno, California.  Libby is closely bonded to her sister, and we would love to find a forever home for them together. The ideal adopter(s) should be experienced with dogs and familiar with rescue situations, as both dogs are fearful of men. A supportive and caring environment is essential, especially if there is a male in the household. The male will need to be actively involved in feeding and caring for them to earn their trust, as they tend to trust women first. from their foster:  Libby (the tan one) is the outgoing sister—loyal, people-loving, and always ready to be your shadow. If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy, she’s a certified snuggle pro. She also walks nicely on a leash. These two adore each other, bring zero drama, and are impressively quiet—they’d make absolutely terrible guard dogs, but perfect companions. The girls are up to date on vaccines and need to be spayed. Rompin Paws can work with adopters to arrange a spay at our vet, or adopters can take them to their vet. The current adoption fee does not include spaying costs. This may be updated if they are spayed prior to adoption. These girls are young and can be trained to be lovely family members.  Their foster has begun working with them, providing harness and lead training, but they will require more work. We do recommend a child-free home because of their anxiety and trauma from being dumped. They need a calm, adult-only home. If you have the time, love, experience, and willingness to help these two sweet girls work through their trauma so they can become loving and loved family members, we would love to chat with you. We are open to a foster-to-adopt period, allowing ample time for potential adopters to work with Libby and get to know her. **Adopting Libby** To adopt Libby, please use the link below. One of our volunteers will review your application and follow up with you to ask questions, address any concerns, and determine whether you are a good match for this pup. If a match is made, the next step will be a meet-and-greet. Please use a computer to complete the application, as tablets and cell phones may disrupt the process. Tucker has transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble and focuses on a healthy, canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters on proper diet and nutrition.   The adoption fee for Libby is $595 and includes spay, vaccines, rabies, and microchip   www.rompinpawsrescue.com                Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 9, 2026, 7:20 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. **Finley** This sweet little boy arrived at my partner's rescue in California after someone found him in a box on the street. He was on his way to a shelter, but we took him in. Finley is probably a mix of Dachshund, Poodle, Chihuahua, Pomeranian, and Miniature Pinscher. Judging by his coloring and size, and based on what we know about similar mixes, he will likely weigh about 15 pounds as an adult, give or take a few pounds. He’ll be a small dog. Finley now weighs 9 pounds @ 6 months and is a sweet, loving puppy. He’s still a wee bit shy after everything he’s been through, but he’s slowly becoming more confident and enjoys receiving affection and company from the other dogs in his foster home. Here are some notes from his foster family: Finley is very affectionate. He loves people, dogs, and even cats. He’s a cheerful, outgoing puppy who likes to stay close and cuddle. He enjoys playing with other dogs, people, stuffed toys, and bones. He settled in quickly and became part of our family right away. Finley is one of the kindest and most loving dogs we’ve met, and he’ll make a wonderful addition to any family. **Ready to Make Finley Part of Your Family?** If you’d like to welcome Finley into your life, please use the link below to apply for adoption. Our team will review your application, answer any questions, and ensure you and Finley are a good match. The $495 adoption fee helps cover medical care and lets us rescue more dogs in need.
