Duke followed me and my dog home one day. For two weeks, this thin, tired, scared young guy stayed in my neighborhood, keeping a safe distance while I fed him in my front yard. He wanted to trust, but survival made him very cautious. Then one morning, he finally walked up to me… slowly, gently, like he had decided to trust again. That moment changed everything. F - 3 years old - German Shepherd Mix - Mira is a sweet girl who enjoys her people much more than she enjoys other dogs. She is not a fan of other dogs. She loves meeting new people though, and she lights up when you give her belly rubs and good scratches behind the ears. She's strong-willed, both in spirit and in sheer size, so it will take a strong person to handle her. She also is going to need some professional obedience training and a person who has experience with handling German Shepherds. ADOPT To adopt, come see us! We're open for walk-ins Tuesday - Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM with adoptions closing at 4:30 PM each day. All adoptions are $25 and our pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to head home with you.
