Story
Obie (short for Old Boy) is a sweet old boy looking for a comfy couch to call his own. He has a beautiful fluffy coat that he enjoys a nice brushing of. Obie is a quiet and dignified couch potato. He is fine with everyone but particularly loves men. He loves ear scratches and a nice snooze. Obie is currently on medication for seizures. He takes this medication twice a day and it has greatly reduced his occurrence of seizures. He takes his medications easily if hidden in cream cheese, sour cream or yogurt. Obie is house trained with a doggie door right now. He enjoys spending his afternoons outside relaxing. He can be scared by loud things like fireworks but has done well with CBD as needed for this very specific anxiety. Obie does not really care for treats or toys. Treats he has enjoyed for training include lamb roast, mashed potatoes and eggs. He thinks vegetables are yucky. He seems to have been new to dog food but has taken to it well with some patience. Obie previously lived with another large dog and got along well with her. She would even snap at him sometimes and he would not really react. He simply wanted to be her friend. We also believe Obie will be fine with mannerly children. He has met toddlers and takes care to not knock them over. When meeting cats indoors, Obie was excited but did not necessarily exhibit high prey drive. He allowed his foster mom to call him back as she removed the cat. When he sees cats outdoors he like to try to chase them, though this is true of most dogs (even those that live with cats). All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for private and/or group training at no additional cost to help ensure a successful adoption. To meet Obie, fill out our short adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Once an application is filled out, our volunteers will reach out to you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet and greet.

Story
Meet Kinzie — the shelter life is so last season for this smart, spunky girl! Thanks to her rescue heroes at CBR, Kinzie is living her best life and soaking up every second. She’s a total brainiac — seriously, after just one training session, she’s basically ready to teach the class! Her leash manners are on point, she's a crate queen, and she's fully potty trained (gold star, Kinzie!). She’s an outdoor enthusiast at heart and would thrive in a home that loves to walk, run, hike, or just generally chase adventure. At first, Kinzie might play a little hard to get with new humans — but show her a treat and you’ll be BFFs in no time. She’s all about her people, fiercely loyal, and will do just about anything for a little love and scritches. She’s currently polishing up her manners (specifically her “four paws on the floor” skills), so she’d do best in a home with adults or older kiddos. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate, adventure-loving sidekick, Kinzie is your girl! Ready to fall in love?

Story
This poor guy was left tied to a street post for 3 days before he was rescued. That's the start of this handsome fellow's story, but it's far from the end. Ready for a new chapter, this Shepherd/Husky mix (born around 2020, 80 lbs) is a testament to resilience. He's an active, playful boy who loves the company of other dogs and has blossomed into a sweet, loyal companion with our staff. He might be a bit shy at first, but give him a chance, and you'll discover a truly devoted friend. He's eager to learn and thrive in a loving home, where he can finally experience the warmth and guidance he deserves. Vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered he's ready to leap into a bright future. A $50 donation helps us continue to care for him and others like him. Please visit our website www.petsnpals.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.
