Darling Izzy (Isabelle) is a BEAUTIFUL girl! She is an approximately 1 ½ year old, 34-pound, Brindle, Dutch Shepherd Mix… your guess is as good as ours! We do know that she has adoring eyes and a very sweet disposition. She came to us as a stray and was never claimed by an owner. She's a playful girl and very loving. She gets along well with other dogs and currently lives with smaller dogs at the sanctuary. She loves to play with the sanctuary dogs and is a happy girl. She enjoys playing with toys. She a young dog so please be prepared to give her more training. Izzy loves to steal things she shouldn’t so make sure you put things she shouldn’t have up, lol. She is doing well with potty training. Here at the sanctuary, we use the command “Go Potty” before taking the dogs outside to do their business. Izzy loves to go for walks and well on leash. ***Courtesy Listing*** Luna is a 2-year-old Dutch Shepherd mix that is extremely smart and eager to please and learn. She can be anxious but she’s a social girl and gets along with other dogs and cats. Luna loves to ride in the car, cuddle with her humans and she does great with children. Obie (short for Old Boy) is a sweet old boy looking for a comfy couch to call his own. He has a beautiful fluffy coat that he enjoys a nice brushing of. Obie is a quiet and dignified couch potato. He is fine with everyone but particularly loves men. He loves ear scratches and a nice snooze. Obie is currently on medication for seizures. He takes this medication twice a day and it has greatly reduced his occurrence of seizures. He takes his medications easily if hidden in cream cheese, sour cream or yogurt. Obie is house trained with a doggie door right now. He enjoys spending his afternoons outside relaxing. He can be scared by loud things like fireworks but has done well with CBD as needed for this very specific anxiety. Obie does not really care for treats or toys. Treats he has enjoyed for training include lamb roast, mashed potatoes and eggs. He thinks vegetables are yucky. He seems to have been new to dog food but has taken to it well with some patience. Obie currently lives with another large dog and gets along well with her. She will even snap at him sometimes and he will not really react. He simply wants to be her friend. We also believe Obie will be fine with mannerly children. He has met toddlers and takes care to not knock them over. When meeting cats indoors, Obie was excited but did not necessarily exhibit high prey drive. He allowed his foster mom to call him back as she removed the cat. When he sees cats outdoors he like to try to chase them, though this is true of most dogs (even those that live with cats). Piper needs to be the only dog no cats with someone retired or works from home that can be with her most of the time, she does have mild separation anxiety, she travels great and has been to local dog friendly food places without issue, prob not a dog park candidate as she’s very alpha and likes to be pushy which sets other dogs off. She does get along with some dogs but not all so would prefer to be the only dog. Her perfect person would be a retiree or new widow/widower that needs a companion. She is fully housebroken and knows basic commands and walks well at heel.

Sir George is a handsome boy! He is a 1.5-year-old , 50 pound, black and tan , German Shepherd mix with warm Brown eyes. He was found as a stray and being fostered by the family that found him. FOSTERING SAVES LIVES. He is a friendly guy that loves to run and play with the dogs, cats and kids in his foster home! His foster family is working on teaching him some commands. He is learning to "sit" first. He is still a puppy and needs to learn how to live the pampered life of an indoor dog. Can you teach him how wonderful life is? He is learning to walk on a leash and doing well. He is a PUPPY in spite of his age and size and needs ongoing training. This is key with Shepherds! He is affectionate, loving and smart!
