Story
Gustave is 2 years old and 82 pounds. He is on the look out for his forever home! He is an energetic fellow who adores going on long walks and he is very social with new people! He loves to chase after tennis balls but half the time he forgets that he has to hand it back if he wants it thrown so you have to have two tennis balls to play switcheroo on him. He enjoys puzzle toys and scritches behind his ears; he will always lean in for pets! He is super affectionate once he gets all his exercise in!I don`t have a history of living with other dogs. I may do well with a slow introduction.I don`t have a history of living with cats. I may be too energetic for your cat/s. I may do well with a very slow introduction.I don`t have a history of living with children. I may do well with proper management in the home.If you are interested in this specific animal, please come to the shelter for walk-in adoptions Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30am to 5:30pm. We recommend coming in as early as possible, as adoptions are first-come, first-served.

Story
Meet Brian, the brindle Dutch Shepherd who proves not all Brians are the same! Unlike the Simpsons version, this boy is all wiggles, grins, and delightful mischief. He’s the fun-loving, slightly naughty sidekick you didn’t know you needed.Brian is that perfect combo of handsome, intelligent, and loyal—a dog who learns quickly, bonds deeply, and keeps life interesting. He’s a medium-sized adventurer who prefers exploring the world over pursuing any musical ambitions. (Trust us… no rockstar career in this guy’s future. He’s way too busy having fun.)Whether he’s showing off his happy dance, trotting proudly at your side, or flashing you one of his trademark smiles, Brian brings a spark of joy everywhere he goes. He’s ready for hikes, yard play, and all the excitement you can throw his way.If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts brainy, bouncy, and bursting with charm, Brian is your guy. Come meet him and let the adventures begin!Brian has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home.  He`s a helper dog in playgroups and loves to play, so he`s brought lots of dogs out of their shell by convincing them to play with him.  He`s also sharing his shelter suite with a friend he met at the shelter.   Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out his playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!

Story
Cosmo is a handsome Dutch Shepherd mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of love—once he knows you. He can be a little shy when meeting new people and may need some time to feel comfortable, but patience is truly rewarded with this sweet boy. As soon as Cosmo warms up, he becomes incredibly affectionate and devoted, happily sticking by your side wherever you go. He’s curious about the world, playful when he feels safe, and thrives on forming a strong bond with his person. Cosmo would do best with someone who understands that good things take time and is ready to give him the love and reassurance he deserves.
