Rescued by TBL in January 2025 when they were at risk of euthanasia.Best Home: Patient single or couple who are willing to help a bit of scaredy cat learn the ways of the world.Amazing Qualities: Lowriding legs...need we say more?If you're interested in meeting this dog, please visit our website to fill out an adoption application: www.thebarkinglot.net/adoptOur dogs are located in San Diego County, CA. Story
At just 6 months old, Max has already experienced more heartbreak than any puppy should. This handsome brindle boy with the sweetest black snout is affectionate, goofy, intelligent, and full of love. He’s the kind of dog who melts into belly rubs, gets excited for car rides, lives for a good game of tug-of-war, and simply wants to be close to his people. After playtime, he’s just as happy to curl up nearby and enjoy a quiet moment with his family. Max is about 49 pounds, neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and house trained. He’s ready for a home of his own. Unfortunately, Max’s journey hasn’t been easy. He was mistreated by a trainer who used abusive methods, leaving him with some reactivity and uncertainty around other pets. Despite what he has been through, Max still loves people with his whole heart. He just needs someone willing to see beyond his past and help him rebuild his confidence. Max isn’t looking for perfection. He’s looking for patience. He’s looking for understanding. He’s looking for someone who will show him that not all humans will let him down. With structure, guidance, and kindness, this young boy has so much potential. The right home could change his life forever.      July 2, 2026, 10:29 pm

Story
Meet beautiful Molly. She was found in the middle of nowhere, in the bones, and with too much fear, she tried to bite us until she could understand that we were not going to hurt her, we just wanted to help her, and she got on her belly, letting me know that she trusted me. She is a really sweet, intelligent, loving dog, she has too much love to give, and she needs to receive even more. She is a very loyal dog, and tends to dance with her front paws when she gets excited. She gets excited when she goes for a walk, she likes to see new places and sometimes she is a little shy at first with strangers but she understands quickly when people don't want to hurt her. On the contrary when she knows that people are a threat to her or to you, she is very protective. She gets along well with very few male dogs, she is dominant and does not usually play with other dogs, but she gets along very well with adults and children, she would be ideal for a family with small children, she knows how to measure her strength, and she is not at all rude with babies. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation to North of San Diego
