Story
I'm a 6yr old, sweet, funny girl and I want to be your one and only! Even though I've had a rough start at life, I love humans. I especially love men & I'd love to find the right man for me. I'm looking for a family that's looking for companionship and the occasional walk. I'd do best in a home as an only dog to spend all my time with my human(s.) A yard would be nice too, so I can run and play. I am very social with humans! I love treats. I have come a long way but I do sometimes pull on leash. I will do really well with training as long as lots of treats are involved. I am a little worried about loud noises but as long as I feel safe, I'm okay. I will bark when someone comes to the door but when you tell me to stop, I listen. I'll go grab a toy to bring, to say Hi! I'd do best as an only dog. I've never met a cat so I'd feel best in a home with no cats. I do really well with children probably, 10 years old and older. I love squeaky toys! I also enjoy fetch too. I'm just hoping someone will open up their hearts to an older girl who has lots of life left. Someone who will let me forget about my past and just move forward with lots of fun. I have quite the fun personality. Come see me and let me show you who I am! I would do best as an only dog so I can get all the love from my humans. My Adoption Fee includes a Training Program specific for my needs.

Story
Your Loyal, Loving Adventure Buddy! My current Mom tells me I am a stunning Border Collie/German Shepherd mix with the brains, heart, and energy to match my good looks. I am full of playful energy but already showing the loyalty and intelligence of my working dog breeds. I love snuggling, playing and being joyful. I am also VERY intuitive and I will come to you when you are anxious and upset and will put my paw on you or lay next to you to calm you. I am very good with young children. I would love to train with my humans! I am learning to tolerate loud noises (vacuum) and things that move quickly. Also, I do jump on you when you return home so I'll need to work on that. I'm smart and I am treat motivated! I may do best as an only dog or may do well with a calm dog. I do very well with young children. I can be very gentle but I have been known to 'herd' them so I'd need humans that understand that. I love steak bones, tug-of-war, chasing small balls around the floor, and my stuffy toys. I'd do best in a home where my humans are willing to train with me. I'd also love to be in a family that likes adventures. I am a higher energy pup so I need outlets for my energy. I'd be fine as an only dog where I can get all the cuddles and snuggles. My adoption fee includes a Training Program specific for my needs.

Story
Handsome, protective and a great snuggler... what more could a girl ask for? Don't let first impressions fool you... While I do view all new people with suspicion, I warm up quickly - especially with the ladies! Once you are "mine", you are my person forever. And I LOVE my people. Can I be attached to you at all times? That would really be perfect! Need an 80lb lap dog? I'm your guy! And don't worry about any people you are unsure of when you're with me. Trust me, nobody is going to take a chance on getting past my BARK! I'd need a yard to run and play in. No apartments please. General Socialization Notes: At only a little over a year old, I am still all puppy! I know how to "sit" and I take treats very gently. I walk pretty good on a leash, once I get over my initial excitement at getting to GO! I love to cuddle, but really don't understand just how big I am. I still get zoomies and race around the yard for reasons only I understand. I love a good dig spot where I can stick my nose in the dirt. And I am a counter surfer of Olympic status! Does Jonas like other animals? I LOVE other dogs! Especially the ones who will play with me! My favorite "toy" is my foster sister... I chase her all around the yard and try to grab her tail... she snaps at me, but it is all in good fun. Really! I try to get the grumpy old man to play, but he doesn't seem interested... and my foster brother yells at me sometimes. At first I took it with good grace, but lately I have noticed that I am bigger than he is. That makes me boss, right? Does Jonas like children? NO. Kids threw rocks and stuff at me when I was on the street. They were mean to me and I don't like them at all now. Favorite Toys: My foster sister! I think I might like balls, but my brother always takes them first. And tug is kind of fun too! Ideal Forever Home: I would be a perfect companion and guardian for a lady/s, but someone active who can understand my need for exercise. I do warm up to men - I love my foster dad! - but it takes a little longer. I get bored easily and go exploring things to chew if I am alone too much, so if you work from home, that would be ideal. I do do okay with just my foster sister and brothers for entertainment and a yard to play in and protect from the mail man and Amazon deliveries... We make sure that they don't stick around any longer than necessary. Mostly, I need someone who knows that a Shepherd dog NEEDS to be with his family. It isn't negotiable. I need to be a part of your life and for you to be a part of mine. I'm not a dog who would be content to spend all day alone - at least not without inventing my own "jobs" to do, like interior demolition. You have been warned. I'd also need a yard to run and play in. No apartments please.
