Story
Meet Katniss!Katniss is a resilient, loving puppy with a brave spirit and a heart full of hope. She’s still growing and will mature into a very large dog, but she’s already shown incredible strength for someone so young. This special girl came into rescue with a fracture that required surgery. While she’s healing beautifully, the nature of her injury means she’ll need an adopter committed to ongoing physical therapy and long-term monitoring of her right hind leg—potentially for life. With the right care, Katniss can continue to thrive and enjoy a happy, full future.Raised in a foster home, she’s learned what it means to be loved and supported. Katniss adores her people, enjoys learning, and is ready to grow into the amazing companion she’s destined to be.If you’re prepared to give a deserving puppy the extra care she needs, Katniss will repay you with endless love and loyalty.Stop by the shelter any day between 12- 6:30pm to adopt her!_______________The Pennsylvania SPCA350 E Erie Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19134Kennel #3079

Story
Raven is my name and kind of like a raven, I am a 'loner'... except for the puppies i had when I arrived at the rescue... I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. I am so so ready for you, I have the shepherd double coat so I will shed in your house, must have a great vacuum cleaner and tolerance of hair :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Please contact Marilyn at 856-275-6905 for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 856-275-6905 (call or text) or via email at Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com&#226&#128&#139 Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 December 5, 2025, 9:57 am

This 1-year-old Belgian Malinois mix is a whirlwind of energy, enthusiasm, and heart. Polo came to HAP from San Antonio, Texas, after the devastating floods, and he's been making an impression ever since. Outgoing with everyone he meets, Polo is all about action, fun, and learning. We’ve been working on clicker training with him, and he lives for food rewards and mental challenges, he's as smart as he is spirited! He loves chasing after toys, zooming around our fenced fields, and invading the personal space of everyone he meets, all for love! Polo needs a home that can keep up with his energy, provide structure, and continue his training journey. If you're looking for a wild, wonderful, and super smart pup to be your next adventure buddy, come meet Polo today! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
Zara has been a part of our family since she was a puppy. She will be 4 years old in November. We would love for her to go to a pet free home. She needs a lot of attention and with our schedules becoming more busy we are not able to provide that. We sent her to a two week training when she was a puppy where she was taught many commands like sit, down, place, and heel which she does well with, she uses a training collar. She is a protective dog so we slowly introduce new people to her which she does well with and have not had any biting incidents. She loves kids I have a 10 year old and a 18 month old.
