Story
Titan is a 3½-year-old Dutch Shepherd and trained narcotics detection K9 who recently came into our care. First and foremost, we want to be respectful of law enforcement and acknowledge the important, difficult work departments do every day to keep our communities safe. Titan’s journey to us was not an easy one. His challenges were not due to a lack of drive or ability, but rather an inexperienced handler situation that ultimately was not the right fit for a working K9 like him. Titan is a toy-driven narcotics dog who alerts well and has solid training. Unfortunately, fear and lack of experience on the handler’s end meant Titan wasn’t being handled or worked appropriately, to the point that the handler was unable to safely manage basic interactions such as removing his collar. Titan was also being rewarded with treats rather than toys as his training required. When the department began considering euthanasia for “not wanting to work,” another rescue stepped in, reached out, and helped get Titan safely transferred to us. We are incredibly grateful that Titan was given a chance instead of losing his life. In our care, one of our experienced K9-savvy handler friends was able to work with Titan immediately, removing his collar, handling him confidently, and interacting with him without issue. This confirmed what we believed all along: Titan needs knowledgeable, professional handling to thrive. Titan is now looking for an experienced, professional placement with either:
 • A government or law-enforcement agency
• A qualified private handler for contract detection work 🚨 Titan will NOT be placed as a pet.
He is a working dog who deserves a job, structure, and a handler who understands him. As always, LEO placements are free, this is our way of supporting our law enforcement and professional K9 community. If you are a department or a private contractor looking to add a talented good boy who deserves a second chance, please reach out to us. 📧 info@phoenixanimalrescue.com Titan still wants to work. He just needs the right partner. Phoenix Animal Rescue Chester Springs, Pa Kennel License #5152

Story
Raven is my name and kind of like a raven, I am a 'loner'... except for the puppies i had when I arrived at the rescue... I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. I am so so ready for you, I have the shepherd double coat so I will shed in your house, must have a great vacuum cleaner and tolerance of hair :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

These pups are in Newark, Delaware too!

Please contact Marilyn at 856-275-6905 for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 856-275-6905 (call or text) or via email at Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com&#226&#128&#139 Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 January 27, 2026, 1:42 pm
